but you gotta name your computer for a network, duh :icon_bigg during the installation of an os anyway....
The network is called MacNet. The Mac Mini and the IcyDock box are the iServe and iRAID 'cos that's what they do. That's about it really, I'm not overly creative with things like this. The PS3, MacBook and Mac Pro are named accordingly. Oh, and the 360 I use for XNA is called XeXDK.
More importantly where are you device names? :110: Those are correct These are wrong although you do get two black pegs. Kyoko is a tad more tricky, but in other ways it's as easy as pai.
You guys are sad  I don't name any of my items nor have I ever had the thought of doing so. yakumo
But when you install windows it does prompt you for a name for the machine as well as a workgroup, not to mention your user ID.....
mark -9f rf059??? so I guess that's my computers name. The Question marks are replacing other numbers. Not sure if it's a good idea to make it public?
Haha! No, that's just the name of your computer within your own LAN, even though you said that doesn't really exist, so it's a useless bit of info. I think windows makes a random-ish hostname during install using the name you put in as "your name" and then that number crap. I always hated it at work or school when someone forgot to change it to the standard format for the network/building/room and I had to change it to what it should be, which required the computer to be taken off the domain, the name changed, then re-assigned to the domain. Blast.
That face and name, I knew it right away: http://www.jamesbondwiki.com/page/Boris+Ivanovich+Grishenko Weird how some things get stuck in your mind.
