The memory card one sure looks like mini-USB. If you can plug it into a Dual Shock 3's charge port, it's mini-USB.

The A/V cable looks like S-Video with two extra plugs. One looks like PS/2 and who knows what the other white one is.

    My two theories:
    1. Maybe this cable receives the hardware monitor pin from the boot loader and kernel that can be used during servicing to know in more detail how far boot up got before the system crashed. This cable has way more than needed for that, though.
    2. Maybe this cable exposes all the pins of the A/V cable, for Xbox engineers to work with new output designs or TV encoders.

The white and red cables look official to me. I do not have them to look at the ends better. This is a photo that I ran across. The guy wants to sell them in a lot with other stuff. I really have no idea why you would have a memory card reader with mini USB? That AV cable makes even less sense!

So you think it might be official for testing. I am gonna email the guy nd try to get better photos. The guy said they came out of a warehouse.

i wonder if its for one of them xbox to vga (for a diy arcade build) adapters , the white connector could be the signal to turn on the adapter

hmmm maybe! I am gonna look into that right now!

Well it is not the jamma one they sell on eBay. I thought maybe that would be it. I asked the guy to send me better pics of the connectors. Hopefully he will do so!

I got the memory card part figured out! It hooks to a receiver for a wireless controller from datel. The receiver looks like a DVD dongle and the mini USB plugs into the side of that. Figures that Datel would use USB so it can hook to the PC also!

The av lead looks like it's supposed to be a part of something else. Like the hanzo via box sold here - little breakout cable from the console to a box that does something else.

I think so, watch HEX's video on his kiosk around the 6:30 mark and you can see it. Click.

that then suggests the white connector is the signal wire to turn on the sound amp

I see stereo audio, composite, S video, and the white connector. Doesn't look like it would be component since that is a completely different mode of the encoder chip. Perhaps it's an audio amp activation signal like someone else suggested?

I think it must be for the kiosk. Weird right! When I get it I will trace the pins back to the connector. Look at the XBOX writing. That is official right?

My guess would be a reset switch or something. I know there has to be a way of resetting the kiosk, mine has a button on the front. Thats a total guess though, it would be a bit weird to have it on the AV cable but who knows at this point. Wait for Hex to chime in since his unit is up and running :p

The cable colors even do look like USB. But I don't think there is USB on the AV out?
Also it might be a bit overkill. But maybe the kiosk acts as a XID?! That'd be crazy but also one of the coolest XID to own :p

//Edit: According to this: http://www.gamesx.com/avpinouts/xbox.htm there is no USB. It doesn't leave much choice either.. Possibly mode selection to allow all kiosks to be used with different TVs but the same cable? Reset probably works by simply cutting the power to the xbox then

I am working on getting that cable. If I get it I will trace the connector back to the pins and report back! The more we discuss this, the more I want it!

It is from the kiosk units guys! The answer was right under our noses! the pic was in the archive the whole time! Now what the connector is for is still a mystery.

It's a reset signal. when certain pins in the AV connection are crossed it will do either a soft or hard reset. Not sure which. I do know that my AV cable has all the outputs and a switch to select between component and composite/ s video. when I change from composite to component the console will power up. not hard to reason then the connector on the AV plug in question does some kind of reset especially when the black box it plugs into in the picture clearly has a connection labeled "reset".

The way the cord is bent too gives it away, but if anyone never seen the kiosk spitter kit before it looks weird.

I could of ended this thread instantly if I saw it :p Sorry guys...
