This is my current gaming setup Missing is my SNES, my GC and my N64 (they are at my parents house, i currently live with my older brother) In the next few weeks my brother will buy a 40" bravia, and hopefully in July I'll buy a current gen console (haven't decided which one yet). And yes, i was watching Frasier
My Setup Hello there, I'll introduce myself here with my setup. I'm Agustin from Montevideo, Uruguay (SouthAmerica), basically share the same interests as the rest of you, and I'm trying to make a nice collection of videogames. Down here in Uruguay it's pretty hard to do it because we don't get as much consoles as in other countries and the retail prices are crazy... like 3 times (or even more) the prices you can find in the US. ie: the Nintendo Wii, here, costs like $800-900 (dollars) I started collecting a couple of years ago, I usually get stuff from my trips to the US or by friends or family who travel. It is also impossible here to import stuff, in the customs we have a 60% tax against any electronic device you import, so, you get the picture :crying: My setup right now (nothing really great compared to your stuff guys): Gear: WestingHouse 22†Widescreen Monitor – HD-Grade 480p/720p/1080i – 1680x1050 (Component/Composite/S-Video/DVI-D/D-Sub -- Inputs) Harmony Advanced Universal Remote (Xbox 360 Edition) 2.1 Speakers Gamestop & Philips AV Selector (Composite/Component/S-Video/LAN) Madcatz Hard Travel Case (Wii/XBOX 360/PS3) Lynksis Wireless Router , Switch + DSL Modem Consoles: (All are US NTSC) 3 NES SNES N64 GCN PS2 Slim 2 XBOX (One of them modded with bigger HDD and stuff) Sega Dreamcast Nintendo Wii XBOX 360 Gameboy Color Nintendo DS Lite Custom PC and Gateway MX5969 Laptop (not so cool PCs but both get the job done, use them for work and sometimes for Warcraft 3, Starcraft Brood Wars, Age of Empires 2, Counterstrike and Anarchy Online) Most of the stuff is plugged to the Westinghouse 22" monitor, and the NES and SNES are plugged to that small, nostalgic Samsung CRT which I just LOVE, LoL. Though I plan to get a new 21" CRT for the retro stuff, and keep the current gen consoles plugged to the LCD. The GCN is plugged to the PC's video capture card. Pictures: (Now the setup has changed a little, these pics are from last year, I just changed the mouse and keyboard on my PC for a Microsoft/Razer Reclusa and a Logitech G9 and added a WD 500GB External HDD) Wow, really long post I guess hehe, hope I did not bore you guys ;-)
I now got myself a Toshiba 25" CRT off eBay for £40 because retro looked shite on the HDTV, it's a cracking TV with 3x SCART, 2x S-Video, 2x Composite and has Pro Logic surround too! Shame about the two scratches on the screen, but I don't notice them during game play anyway... Room could do with a dust and vacuum maybe... The collection, which hasn't grown really since Christmas.
My place is a mess right now, I know. Still getting settled back in, and being sick doesnt help. Took some crappy photos that will have to do Projector: Setup: n64, CD-i, Saturn, PS1, PS2, HDDVD player, Laserdisc player, PS3. This is my new PC and new PC gaming setup. I got some new games for my PC since then as well! So far I've turned off Nero because it kept asking for money, and I turned off Vista updates because they kept messing up startup for some reason. Looking back, I shoulda got XP again. Oh well, I hope I have all the stupid crap disabled that I don't need anymore. I've got two headsets, one for listening to music, and another for talking to other gamers in TF2.
