Re: rx-7's Nice bro! Always wanted a 13b powered first gen. I knew the black one was because of the rims, couldn't see them on the white one. You don't have either any more? Pity
I finally got some pictures of my car. 56k BEWARE pictures are at 1024x768. http://img63.exs.cx/img63/2929/car001.jpg http://img63.exs.cx/img63/4643/car002.jpg http://img63.exs.cx/img63/2452/car003.jpg http://img63.exs.cx/img63/1050/car004.jpg http://img63.exs.cx/img63/1865/car005.jpg http://img63.exs.cx/img63/7453/car006.jpg http://img63.exs.cx/img63/6348/car007.jpg http://img63.exs.cx/img63/1835/car008.jpg http://img63.exs.cx/img63/6885/car009.jpg I own a Saturn SL1 4door Sedan 1992. It has almost 150k miles even though odometer says 99k. I got the car for free from my stepdad as a gift, however I had to pay to get it running again as it was broken down when I got it. I've had it since March 2003 and since then I have put in almost $2000 into it. Here's whats I had replaced: March 2003: New feul-line, plus new fluids, new spark plugs, new timing belt and regular tune-up. $329. June 2003: New feul pump. $329 July 2003: New timing chain for inside the engine. $501. September 2003: New radiator. $250 December 2003: New ignition panel (that thing that connects to the spark plugs), plus new spark plugs and cables for it. $188. March 2004: New feul sensor. $175. Grand total of $1772. I'm now about to see if the rack and pinion plus CV joints need to be replaced/fixed. On top of that I'm saving up money for a new engine and tranny incase they break down. If they do and I do get a new engine and tranny in, then I'll basically end up with a car who's condition is that of an $8000 car but I'd put in almost $5k into the whole car plus it would have 0 miles on the new odometer that I will get for when I do that major overhaul.
I own one of most luxurious french car (a bit like the mustang GT). The "Peugot 305 GLI" (Grand Luxe - Ivory edition). Unfortunately, the inboard electronic is a bit dead .
Im the proud owner of a dieing 1992 Ford Aerostar! The windows dont work and neither does the air conditioning! What a treat for summer weather! The radio refuses to tune and the door is held on with duct tape. So much love in that car man . Did I mention when I hook up my tape converter for my MP3 Player it makes te most horrendous screeching noise?
And I thought I was the only one who owned a POS car. The AC on mine luckily works but doesn't cool the air and I have no radio.
Haha, my ride too, '92 Aeroshit (extended) and the fucking AC doesnt work either! Windows do though, lol. Shit, yeah. I was lurking in shame looking enviously at everyone's decent rides too. Don't worry, you aren't alone, haha.
bringing back the dead thread, i just sold my passat and picked up this little gem, 99.5 gti glx. almost made a new post but remembered this thread, and i didn't want to get reamed out for doing such :smt083
Here is one of my rides 71 numbers matching 340 cuda pistol grip 4sp http://www.macleodwestern.com/Picture01.bmp
Family cars: 1987 BMW 528e, 2005 Toyota Corolla. The BMW is great fun to drive...most of the time. I'm still not that great at driving stick so sometimes driving it is a little stressful. The Corolla is at the dealership waiting to be picked up tomorrow night!
I bought a '92 Toyota Camry recently. I know it doesn't compare to everyones sports cars, but it works .
had to sell it 2 weeks ago, had it for 6 months... nice car but rotten like old cheese... looked like it came right from the factory when I bought it.. nowhere a trace of rotten parts... all perfectly camouflached by the oh so nice car dealer! :smt067
macwest: your car looks like a killer... i had this one: it is a 1999 bmw 530 diesel, a very mighty machine. sadly i crashed it, and it was of course not fully insured, so i had to sell it because i could not afford to fix it... :| now i drive a 1997 ford convertible...
I've got a '98 S14 240SX. Used to drive a 2004 WRX, decided AWD is no fun. I'd still take an EVO VIII MR FQ400, wish they sold them here (we only get the normal MR). A Sileighty is NOT a normal 240sx. It is an S13 hatchback (aka 180sx) with the front-end from an S13 Silvia (aka S13 Coupe). SILvia + oneEIGHTY = Sileighty Likewise, the American S13 coupes, which were produced with the japanese 180sx front-end, are generally known as "One-vias" Gouki: Nice Turbo II. My roommate has a '91 TII, which is definitely not in as good of condition as yours is, but still pretty good. He's also got a busted throttle position sensor right now, so as he's running off-boost, he's lucky if he's putting out 100hp, lol. Oh, and the Noble M12/M400 is the coolest car ever. Doesn't it out G the McLaren F1 on a skidpad? That's sick...
Image pirated from buicks.net!! Heh, you own a buick. Well if it gets you from point a to point b thats all that really matters. BUt I want to get there in style someday.
