It was already set to Widescreen when I took those pictures. I've tried changing to Normal and Letterbox and back but still no change.

EDIT: I did this through both the "MS Dashboard" option from the UnleashX Dashboard and C:\Xb1xdash.xbe. I didn't have a Xb0xdash.xbe, and Xboxdash.xbe crashes my system on a black screen.

Turn off the console when you change the video mode.

I assume your launching the MS dash after you have loaded the savegame exploit? Since all current softmods come with Shadow C & EEPROM emulation, so changing setting on the emulated EEPROM won't change anything. (Reason it's there lol)

EEPROM emulation is probably what's doing it. He could just use ShadowC or completely remove the softmod and resintall. Just don't touch the C partition. (not sure why people do anyway -_-)

I just installed the "standard" version of the softmod. I was following your guide and just chose that because I didn't know enough about the other options to know if there were any risks. If it means anything, I'm using an NTSC switching program to change my console from PAL to NTSC for the HD resolutions, and that mentioned something about changing EEPROM settings.

The video mode is basically controlled by the EEPROM. Which is why you see in UnleashX (Video mode - EEPROM Safe). You can't really damage the system by changing video modes. I did this all the time on various softmodded units...
