A Toyota Supra as your first car!! man, you'll be crying when you scratch or dent it, which you will unless by your first car you mean that you've been driving for a few years and this is the first car that was actually your own property. If not then good luck! All new drivers no matter how great they think they are will reverse in to something or scrape the car's skirt on a paving stone or what have you. Still, very nice car  Yakumo
My current car is the most modern one I've had. Ive scratched it, kerbed it, and caught the thing on a garage wall doing a 3 point turn,. Thought I'd cleared it, but no.. bent wing, bumper, and broken headlamp bracket. I was seething at myself.
Cheers dude! Yeh, I have been driving since 2001 but this is the only car that I have owned outright as my own property. I have covered thousands of miles but none in my own car or my own insurance policy. It's a Japanese import and I am totally in love with it!
Well, if you've been driving for the last 8 years I'd say you've had plenty of time to scratch, dent and so on any cars  You'll have a fantastic time taking that Supra out on the Motorway / Highway I can tell you. Drove a 1998 model a few years back. Fantastic it was. YOu certainly have good taste. By the way, you live in the states right? What's it like driving a left-hand car over there? My dad was telling me he had great troubles trying to pull out of lanes or junctions when he went to Orlando. I've only ever driven in left-hand countries using left-hand cars so I've yet to have that experience
I don't have a licence yet but so far i've driven a Vaxhaul Corsa(dual control) and a Toyota Yaris. Don't know what my first car will be if/when i pass my test as my sister has stated she would get me one as long as i could pay for insurance, tax, petrol...etc myself but to be honest i'd be happy with whatever i got either from her or myself because i wouldn't want anything decent until i'd been driving for a few years and i would more than likely want my first car to b cheap to buy and run.
Cheers dude. Nope, I am in Manchester! Car is RHD just like yours (it's from Japan) and I am in England where we (mostly) drive on the left God no, it's not failside. That's a Top Secret bumper. Rest is all stock pretty much.
Sometimes i start thinking about selling my 1998 Xsara VTS... The normal price it sells is around 25.000 Reais, but already was offered 28.000 Reais for it. If i ended up selling it, i would try to get a C4 Coupé VTR. It costs around 40.000 Reais, but i could pay half of it and finance the rest in 2, 3 years payments maybe. But when i start planning this, i always end up thinking it's better to keep my old and reliable VTS.
Very nice. :love2: Koenigsegg now own them... I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. We'll see, I guess. Make sure you use synthetic oil in that engine.
