retro's topic made me wonder, what sort of car do you have? What is your pride and joy? What would you like? What was your first?

So I'll start.. I've had three Corsas, each progressively more expensive to buy and repair than the last.. getting pissed off but I can't really afford, nor do I warrant, a new car. If I were to look for a new car, it would be a new Corsa or Mazda 2. Money being no object, an Audi..

My first. My baby! £480 plus some for some tyres, brakes and the distributor. Ironically, the oldest was the most reliable, cheapest to maintain. Shame the floor was falling out, causing to fail on the MOT.. Scrapped now, and got £150 for it ;)

My second. Lovely for a while, but really not looked after and accident damaged. Starting having a multitude of problems, so ditched for minimal money. Live and learn

My current, in for head gasket replacement right now ¬¬ And I am climbing the walls. Planned to do so much while off from Uni..

My car is a Blazer ZR-2. I guess thats what its called.

Its equipped with a giant metal thing with a wheel on the back that makes it annoying and hard to look out the back window, an Ipod car player thing, and a new car scent thing that clips on the vents!

This isn't a picture of MY car, but this is it.

Haha hooray for air fresheners! I'm sticking with my retro cassette player in mine.. bought a cassette adapter so I can just use my iPod. I want to still be able to use my little volume controls on the steering wheel ^^

    but of course.

its back seats have seen 5 virginities lost, countless good looking ladies (well some better than others) and more sex than average Joe, the car might be a piece of shit on wheels but it has it where it counts! It's the star wars parallel to the milenium falcon but without the added hair of Chewbacca.

That's a good thing, considering I hate cheap cars yet I m stuck driving one for now. Nevermind that my cars of preference, roadsters, don't have back seats. Need I say that I m currently living with my folks?

PS: I d take pictures but it looks shit with all of its minor bumps and bruises (courtesy of other drivers who can't apparently park properly)

I got a nasty dent on my door by a person who hit my car. I usually don't get upset over that type of thing, but I kinda got ticked off when I got off work and saw a dent and paint chip missing.

here in Athens your car can get superficial (or even mechanical) damage by the roads/pavements etc if you aren't careful - plus you get your run off the mill asshole who'll key your paint if your car is anything to be envied in any respect (new, good looking, you name it). Really depressing

Not to boast or anything, eh, Barc0de? I haven't 'christened' any of my damn cars yet.

Depressing when you can't own anything nice without some scrote fucking it up. Some piece of human debris tried to get into my first with a screwdriver; passenger door lock was just a gaping hole.. In my red one, I parked up in a car park as chav family of bratty, mouthy fat kids were getting back into the adjacent White Ford Mondeo. I thought, "I won't be a dick and stand evilling them as they get into their car. I'll carry on my way, but I'll bet there will be a dent in my car with a white mark when I get back."

Lo and fucking behold, a dink in the side of my car with matching white mark.

I have a '91 Buick Park Avenue that is slowly falling apart. There's recently something wrong with the brakes, but I can't afford to get it checked out til I get some more money. Hopefully they don't give out! :p

I've got a Mondeo ST24 Ghia X (2.5l V6) at the minute, getting bored of it now though, i've had it nearly 6 months. Pretty cool car though, as to look at it you wouldn't think it could reach 90mph, lots of shocked looking boy racers at traffic lights when they get dusted ;-)

I must have had 70 odd cars over the years, some of which i've only kept for a week before getting bored with them. I'm looking for a Mondeo ST220 atm, meant to be much faster than the ST24 :110:.

    Take it steady dude ;)

And Borman, that is SMART. I personally think Audi's vechile design tends to be almost timeless. They just don't look 'dated'.

DrDoaK, I wish I had a car longer than 6 months ;) They're almost sentimental to me and I just want to keep one! All my cars have been small engines, each a 1.2 with the last two being 16v. My first one *would* do 70.. only four gears.. and the steering wheel would vibrate, so when you got out, your arms were all shaken.. haha!

I just love the 80's audi's :p Glad I finally found one around here, not very common unfortunately (or fortunately I guess, since it's unique)

Edit: Someone needs to buy this and float me over the interior :p My interior is from an older model since the leather was apparently crap, this looks alright though

    Link

Dunno if it'd be compatible with my car or not though :p If I ever move to the UK, Im gunna buy that sort of deal hah

I love old Audi's :110:. I used to have one but the engine seized (my fault, i used to rag the shit out of it) and it just wasn't worth fixing as it was dented to hell.

There's absolutely loads of em in the scrapyards by me, back in the day it was the car of choice for the local boy racers.

The one car i've always wanted and never bought is a Ford Capri. I love the seventies style of them and they sound mean as hell when you tune the block.
