The only 1.2Liter engine cars you see here in US are golf carts lol and sometimes in hybrids (I think the Honda Insight has a 1.3liter gas engine). Every new car out there, there is not one that is less than 1.7liter V4 engine as far as I know. That's funny. Your dad drives the shit box while you mom drives car that warms her ass.
They're very popular with the Japanese boy racers. You should see what they do to the wheels on those things. It's as if the tyre is painted on. Yakumo
I've read people supping them up before. To be honest though it's quite pricey to replace parts in this car, even used ones. It's got good power, but couldn't imagine anyone racing in it considering they only make it in automatic. Still I'm very happy with the car.
I love the pose, ave Ed The Nerd, my currennt car is the newest car in our household.. my Dad's is 2001.. both have cassette players (plus cassette ipod adaptors ). Mine only has electric windows in the front.. no ABS.. only driver airbag.. None have cruise control (I never see the point). American cars always seem to tend towards flat out luxury. Perhaps they're cheaper than what we have to pay here. Also, do most of you here drive manual transmission?
It's the original (mk1) thankfully. ...The 'newer' (mk2) models have a higher CofG, thus destroying the fun of a MINI.
That's why Japanese boy racers love it. Japanese in general can't drive manual transmission cars. Yakumo
Personally I think automatics are a bit boring, and they seem to be uncommon in the UK! I agree they are useful for people with limited use of one leg.. but I think manuals are fun.
Yeah i know  But you wont believe how much crap you have to take with you when you have 1 year old twin boys.
Oh, allright lol. What about the model itself, the 3rd-gen Micra? I heard some stories about people starting their cars by remote controls 1 hour before they take off for work to warm up the interior (in Canada with approx. -30°C). I guess there's not such a big market for fuel-saving cars in the US, maybe a slow development towards this trend supported by the financial situation nowadays.
This'll make a mechanic out of anyone, lol. Right after an oil change... kitty litter FTW 3.0L DOHC V6. Makes about 225hp. ooohhh.. shiny Installed a touchscreen Windows XP computer for music
^^^ friggin sweet If it is that cold, you have to, not just to get it warm inside, but to get the engine and the fluids warm enought. At -30C, metal can be as brittle as glass. I know that in Japan they have low volume cars, but in order for them to be speedy in freeways, they put turbos in them, stock. I wish they do that here. Put low input engines w/ high output components.
