Automatics are for people who can't really drive or for the lazy if you ask me  I hate driving automatics but it's the only car you can normally get when you rent on in japan. Driving them in the main city is probably easier I'd have to admit but once you hit the open road it's just so dull. Even the semi automaic stick shifts aren't much fun. Yakumo
it depends. I hate automatic cars (and serial/triptonic ones too) but not having to keep a foot on the clutch is god-sent when you're stuck in halting traffic. I know people, including my dad, who have issues with their knees and its a killer for them to make prolonged drives on a manual car.
Is the VTS fast? I've had a few Saxo's over the years and they've always shifted, always wondered about the other citroen's. @Retro: Sweet ride, i really love older cars myself but just don't have the time to buy a project car. I'm guessing you like tinkering if you've bought a Triumph, welding fanatics dream those things
I'm only 17 and don't have a job, so no car of my own. I drive my dads 2004 Dodge Neon. Its so fucking basic, sometimes I'm surprised it has airbags! -no power locks -no power windows -no cruise control (annoying as hell as I am on the highway quite a bit:crying -no CD player (i keep a boom-box in the back seat :lol -no ABS (makes for great fun in the school parking lot, so fun to just slide around!:110 -no leg room (I'm 6'1'' and still growing, i don't know how my 6'6'' dad can stand the thing!) -no light bulb in the trunk to see what the fuck I'm doing in the dark! (who knew something as basic as that costs extra) Then there's mom's minivan, i love this thing! -heated seats -dual DVD players -3 LCD's (one driver usable when in park, driver's screen is touch sensitive) -built in satellite radio (Sirius) -hard drive for mp3 storage -camera aiming back so i can see what im doing when in revers (it's got horrible sight lines)
I drive a blue 2004 Chevy Cavalier. Id post a pic of it but its winter here in Ohio so my car is all dirty and salty. After the snow subsides and i can get over to a car wash ill put up a pic.
My first and only car that I own since Nov07: Nissan Micra Visia 1.2. I'm actually quite satisfied with it, was new when I bought it and has CD-player+sound system and air condition. Excuse for me kidding around lol Is this car around in the United States/American continent? I never saw one when I was there so I wondered.
Well, the original VTS has 167HP. Mine has 180HP and runs on ethanol. It's fast, has great stability and it looks great.
I drive a POS 96' Chevy Blazer. It gets the job done from A to B. I haven't been able to justify getting rid of it as it's paid for and insurance is dirt cheap. 1962 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Keeps me company on the weekends, weather permitting.
Photos are atleast a year old - when I first picked it up, don't have my Ls anymore and it looks completely different 1995 EF Ford Fairmont. 1998 DL Fairlane LTD Interior: Leather seats, chrome handles/trims, woodgrain.etc I've put about $10k into it since purchasing it: Bodykit (not shown in photos), 35% tint (not shown in photos), extractors, 2.5inch exhaust, ECU upgrade, I had it dropped about 2 inches, I don't have much room between the muffler and the road now, I have to avoid speed bumps until I get the new muffler put on it. Major work was the engine upgrade, found a doner Tickford XR6 that had been rear ended something shocking, so I paid him $200 and removed the engine myself - I can now hit atleast 220kmph - thats as high as the speedo goes, i think it's about 235-240 that it can hit. Here's a picture of the 'kit that's on it.
that's a MINI (BMW), not a Mini (BMH) Is that a mk1 or mk2 MINI? I heard that the new mk2 were slightly larger than the originals....
As of right now, I am driving a 2006 Civic EX, as well as a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer Limited. I am going to be selling the Civic and either getting a Jeep Gran Cherokee Limited, 03-05 Range Rover HSE, or a Hummer H3 depending on which school I go to.. After being close to losing my life in a crash last month, I only feel safe driving an SUV. Gas mileage isn't great, but after what happened I realized that what saved my life from the drunk driver was a solid car. Unfortunately, his car was trashed and he almost killed his own child in the accident.
