What would you do with $250 million USD?

This is a very hypothetical thread, it's just for fun, no flaming. I'm just curious what ASSEMblergames forum members do if they had $250 million USD.

I'd become a serial entrepreneur (I've got some great secret ideas/inventions), own a yacht, abandoned missile silo w/ tons of land and a mansion. One of the businesses I would start is a freeware software company and hire fresh out of college grads to develop for me.

This is just a fun thread. No flaming or trashing.
So what would you do with $250 million USD?

 

Leave the UK and never come back.

Would probably set up a charity helping homeless people and children at risk.

 

Would buy a / some blocks, and get some nice earnings from the rent collected.

 

Move out of my parents house.

However I wouldnt go in a spending spree, the last thing I need is to lose everything and be back were I started, so I'll probably save 25% in gold and bonds as a security net.

I believe the correct question here is "What wouldn't you do with 250k million".

I would buy my country and turn it into a resort for rich people.

I'd probably try to get every Criterion Collection LD, DVD & BluRay. Then I'll still have enough money to buy a used 2002 rearprojection TV from a garage sale and I'm having a fun time.

 

I'd save at least 150 million or more somehow/somewhere so that it couldn't get spent willy nilly and would be still be there in many years to come.

I'd also start my own business or do something that would create an income for me every month as despite owning 250mill i'd want to make sure it doesn't go to waste and i think god where has X amount of million went plus i've always wanted to start my own business.

Of course there would be luxuries like a House, car, Gadgets....etc but i mean i wouldn't go mad.

 

I'd pay off my credit cards, take care of some medical needs, pay for college, buy a modest car, build a ~500 square foot house with a beautiful garden and pond, and I sure as hell would not invest it.

 

Start a business? Invest? Fuck that, I'd just party and stuff, since $250 million is more than enough to last for the rest of my life
Oh, and I'd donate to some charities of my choosing.

 

Buy an island, invest a large amount safely, invest a decent amount in micro-financing, then give the rest to charitable endeavours.

Personally I would...

Buy every copy of the Nintendo WC cart and hire a steamroller and no I won't be keeping any copies.

Create a harem

Open a member based arcade and bar in Japan somewhere with lots of arcade games ranging from Computer Space to the latest arcade game.

Get Seta to make a Super Real Mahjong arcade game and Jaleco to do the same with Idol Janshi Suchie-Pai.

Buy the Puyo Puyo license back off Sega, find the original Compile crew and make a proper Puyo Puyo game.

 

I'd be set for life , managing a humble lifestyle and I wouldn't have to worry about a lot of petty shit.

Of course i'd also support my hobbies and I agree with making Yu Suzuki create Shenmue III finally as well hah

 

That's because I would be paying Inafune to make Mega Man Legends 3. ;-)

Other things I would do is make sure many people especially those getting older like my grandparents and great grandparents are well set for increasing medical expenses and assistance they need. I would also set aside I would take my family on a nice vacation since several years were planned on going on one, but always ended up being too broke to do so. I would probably get a new car since mine is slowly getting worse and worse. Nothing too fancy, but so long as it gets better gas mileage than my current boat. Then finally the last thing I would want to do is give my friend Aaron the money to get his video game store up and running here in town and open a store connected to his back near my home town.

Some may think it weird I don't have much for myself, but that's just how I've always been. When I went to france a few years back I got a bunch of people various things and got my self two small things for under ten Euros. I barely had enough money for a snack at the airport for the trip home because I spent at least 100 euros on friends and family.

I'd probably buy everyone I know cool shit, donate a bunch of it here... Go meet all the people across the world that I've always wanted to meet, buy them some stuff, invest a chunk, open an arcade bar or two...
And with the remaining 200+ million... shit, I dunno.
