whats so bad about liking games for a younger audience

There's nothing wrong with enjoying child-friendly games. Games, unlike TV shows or movies can be appealing to two different age groups for completely different reasons. Kids might like Sonic games because they think Sonic is cool, while an adult can enjoy a Sonic game for the enjoyable gameplay.

Oh, and the people who make definitions between "kids" games and "adult" games tend to be childish and insecure, and who the hell cares what the childish and insecure think?

Exactly. MLP is My Little Pony. You will also see MLP: FIM Which is the same thing but defines what generation. MLP: FIM stands for My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and it is the current generation which is referred to as G4.
