Very nice. I have a thing for 80's Ford, especially special editions. Here's one of my cars back home: 1985 Ford Fiesta Mk2 XR2
Volvo for me. I want to get an S60, which you can get with about 30k on the clock for $16k. Of course, I could get a Jaguar with a similar mileage for the same, so I am scratching my head at the moment. Too bad Ford got a hold of them. It's tough to decide. I'd ultimately prefer a BMW, but the cost is just too high and the associated costs would add to that (servicing, etc). I'd prefer an S80, but it's a bit too expensive and not very practical for the wife and I. I have an 850 atm. Unfortunately these models commonly suffer a fault in the air-con unit. Mine is screwed, will cost $1200 to fix. No way. And it's been mid 90's (around 34*c) for about a month now. Grrrr. This one is not mine BTW
Yeah, TATA motors, bad idea if you ask me, since jaguar+some audi-like renovation on the brand had some potential. But they were right on land rover: their numbers were never near great, not even during the SUV craze, and now that even the upper-middle class is jumping to better efficiency cars dedicated SUV brands like those will dissapear. Seriously, in fact theres a rumor that GM is planning on selling Hummer. It went from being the prodigal son a couple years ago, to the black sheep of the general's family.
That would be funnier if Tata cars were good in any possible way. Have you ever drove one of those? the overall quality is waaaaaay below subpar...
I realize that, but I'm talking about a used car, not a new one. Also, I doubt TATA are going to release a new model for at least a year. The reason Tata want Landrover and Jaguar is to get the technology. Then they have a couple of names they can use to sell their new models in the west, until such time that the brand is ruined. The exact same thing happened with the Chinese and western electronic firms in the 80's and 90's.
Personally I'd skip on a used Jag since the one thing I have always heard about them is that they are unreliable and expensive to fix. Especially older ones.
This thread has turned in to a "Show us yeh wheels" thread  I remember Johnny having a very nice car. Yakumo
if you have the chance try this car as i stated one of my fav: lancia thema. too, nice confortable, elegant and fast too. Also a version with FERRARI engine was available...
very nice pics. i like the back end of the car. but i think it could use one of these sweet spoilers: Since everyone else is posting their wheels, I'll post mine (my dog charged into the picture and ruined my BAMF pose...): I'm hardcore w/ those sunglasses.
you gotta live hardcore if you wanna be hardcore. anyways, my dog is actually a golden retriever. here i am picking her nose or something. quite cute. quite cute.
That doesn't look all that bad, mate  I'd be quite happy to own that myself. Audi cars are great but they do (or at least the older ones) seem to break quite often. I take it you have x4 wheel drive on it? Yakumo
I posted some pics of my wheels a few months ago but I think they'll feel right at home in this thread. My 2007 Suburu Impreza STI Sports Wagon (Just before they changed the Impreza in to a family hatchback :lol Yeah, I know the the left hand side STI logo isn't straight. Bloody cowboy workers. Still, at least I didn't have to pay for it. That white patch on the bumper is filler that I had to put on to fix a small hit and run only 2 weeks after getting the car. It's perfectly smooth and just need painting now but Suburu want 25'000 yen just to pain that patch! The crazy thing is that the wanker who did it hit me while pulling in to another lane then steamed off down the road while I was stuck between two trucks.. F*cking crappy automatic "can't drive" Japanese. Finally the front interior. Lovely leather wheel, hand brake and gear shift accompanied by sport bucket seats that just about accommodate my fat arse. and an in-car Dolby pro logic entertainment system and navi or Sat Nav as they're called in English or so I believe from watching Top Gear all the time. The top speed of the car isn't so hot (You need the WRX STI for the really fast stuff) however it gets from 0 to 60mph in a very reasonable 7 seconds. Yakumo
^^ that's a sick ride right there. i've always loved that blue color. any chance you'll be getting the gold rally rims?
Great car yakumo! Did you get it new or used? how much? I'm asking cuz I'll rather ride a kart than use the japanese public transportation system:lol:
