Music for me plays a big part of the game for me. :loyal: Can only include one video playable, but they're all songs I'm sure you all know Anyone have the same effect?
Because they weren't afraid to make games with character, and that also extended to the music. Out of the recent Sega games Binary Domain has some sweet music too.
Sega know's the right music with there games but i wonder why the crazy taxi music changed on the xbox live version?
Licensing issues, which is pretty dumb, since I'm sure they could've negotiated a deal. I mean, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD has some of the original tracks.
I agree. It's the best game music available. OutRun, Sonic, Streets of Rage, Panzer Dragoon, and many others ... all perfect soundtracks. I like some of Nintendo and Microsoft Game Studios too...
because Sega does what other will never do. Sega was way ahead of the time they made their product. Now the companies says they dont want to do the same mistakes Sega does. Sega dont make mistakes it just the people and the time where not prepare for the product Sega made. Now the companies that are competing are using the idea Sega had before. Like 3d games (master system 3d glasses) motion controllers and etc.
Pretty sure most of the DLC for DC games was on the disc, with only some small files to download like graffiti for JSR. After all, the DC had a 56k modem and most people back then didn't have broadband either.
Right on the money there guys, I always listened to SEGA's music in class while in highschool as the environment was like labtest rat's cage. Crazy Taxi's music just worked, didn't like the replacement music though...
Sega Touring cars Championship has some music that really gets you going during the race. I loved going to the arcades when this game was out. Pretty much every game center in japan that had this game would have the demo sounds pumping out at such a high volume.
I love that music, it's so 90s. Too bad the Saturn version of STCC is very disappointing. They even had some great music on Game Gear:
Except they didn't charge you through the nose for it. I always loved SEGA for their music. The list of SEGA games with great soundtracks is really, really long.
One of the best vocal tracks in a SEGA game ever. It just screams SEGA. I actually bought the STCC soundtrack despite the fact that nearly all the tracks can be ripped from the game CD.
Not sure if So High would count as it was a licensed track, But I guess if Crazy Taxi's music counts then this does to. that said FULL VERSION BITCHES
This is just my theory but I reckon it's partly down to being an arcade developer. In the arcades you have to have all your money's worth of action crammed into that one quick blast of entertainment, that includes gameplay, visuals and music. I think most arcade games have good music, it's just part of the style and Sega are no exception.
Love that Sega used songs with vocals. Say what you will about the game, but Sonic R had some great tracks. Nights goes without saying. They ending theme for Panzer Dragoon Orta is sublime.
