    Short version:

    Shiggsy posted a photo of the RVT-H he bought.
    Shiggsy was a smart ass and jokingly said it had a bunch of Mario and Zelda protos on the drive.
    L_E_T posted a few photos of a drawer full of general dev hardware.
    Many members drooled.
    Time passed.
    More time passed.
    paul.strickler1 found the post and seemingly thought Shiggsy was serious about the protos.
    Much laughter ensued.
    The end.

    Actually it holds eight images (banks). The LEDs display a 4-bit binary number (numbered left to right 8-4-2-1). Single layer and GC images take one bank and dual layers take two.

    Oh man that thing. I used to work with these back when I was a video game tester. it can hold 8 games, and nintendo had the genius idea of putting a button on the front of the console whose only fonction was deleting everything. I was told there had been people who got fired because they hit the button by accident.
