I've noticed that some games will work with the analogue pad on the Classic Controller such as F-Zero, Super Star Soldier and Castlevania 4. I stick to the digital pad though. Castlevania 4 seems to have less slowdown as well. Yakumo
Just dug out one of my wired controllers for you & tried it out. Looks like you are correct, there is no rumble in it which is weird as its definately the shindou version as it has the shindou mark on the title screen like the N64 original i have & princess peach talks in the intro. Hmmmm weird decision on nintendo's part.
Im guessing it has to do with the classic controllers lack of rumble. I don't think its an issue of emulating rumble support, since both project 64 and the emu used for the zelda games on gc has rumble support.
I noticed today that the Virtual Console can save your point in a game meaning you can continue from the same point the next time you play. It doesn't even matter if you play a different game on the Virtual Console before you go back to the game you previously left. This is pretty cool for those games that don't feature any save abilities. Yakumo
Well thats a suprise. I was bored tonight & running low on wii points so i thought id give it a go buying some with my visa. I selected 1000 points to test & then selected the visa card button then put in my number/expiry date/ & ccv number. Pressed ok & bam instant points, it never even asked for a country or billing address!!!! I have no idea why, i wonder if you dont need to provide an address if your wii is tied to a club nintendo account. Thats the only explanation i can think of.
Hang on, your Club Nintendo address is my address because that's where all your stuff is sent. Yakumo
Hope it hasnt caused a problem yakumo, it shouldnt have for you as its more likely my credit card company will be asking me why i have been shopping from nintendo in japan but theres a very easy way to check. I can delete the club nintendo info off my wii & order some more points. If it asks for an address then i know.
Ok mate looks like your ok, i deleted all my club nintendo info off my machine & tried ordering points again. It never asked for a billing address again so it looks like its ok, phew sorry to give you a hear attack mate.
Just got my Wii online again (Damn D-Link router crapping out 3 months after I bought it). Anywho, bought SM64 and love it (It seems a bit odd, though. Much sharper, but the resolution seems to have more jaggies on it, or it may be my memory, since it has been nearly 8 years since I played the N64 version). Anywho, is Gunstar Heroes a good buy? Going to pick up Super Castlevania IV on monday as well.
If you like Treasure-shooters, the gun star heroes is a no-brainer. It's addictive and tons of fun! Excellent showcase of the megadrive's power, too!
FYI, Credit card input on more points does not require a full billing address. I think just the city/zip code. Also FYI, Suposetly USA is getting Castlevania 4 on xmas day along with Super Mario Bros (nes), R-Type (TG16) & TJ&E (Gen). I'm quite pleased with that Still. I want mario picross (favorite pitcross game in exsistance).
Picked up SMB and Castlevania IV. Castlevania IV is new to me, since I only played the NES and SOTN games onward, and never the SNES/Genesis era ones. Very good, although there is slowdown and the controls are horrible on the GCN pad (Seriously, since most of these games are emulated, can't Nintendo find a way to allow the controls to be changed? I'd rather have the whip on A instead of Y). SMB is also very good, runs much faster then the older versions did.
The controlls are mostly set for the Virtual Console pad. That works great on SFC games since it has thesame button layout but a little odd for Mega Drive games. The Cubes controller is crap for anything on Virtual Consol Ithink. Yakumo
