Look, please... all of you should get a life than wasting your time debating which console is better, as nobody cares anymore. It just makes you look about 12 years old. A console is judged on the merit of games it has (that's why, despite the first gen PS2 having the build quality of a slop bucket, it did so well). If you are really that anally retentive as to think that isn't important, then please cock right off. Nobody cares which console you bought - period. Anyway, back to the topic in question. MGS4 probably won't have a release for X360, but as seen in the past it can happen that they'll jump ship onto another console - although expect the timescale to be in years rather than months. Same case for FF - especially with SquareEnix doing stuff for Nintendo and Xbox360 as well as PS3. It has been noted that the engine can technically run on any platform - so a conversion will be much more simple than it has been with previous versions. However, FFXI was noted as being 'a bit cobblers' as a port and so I'm concerned that FFXII may be a bit of a disappointment when it's released. I am so very, very tempted by Lost Oddessey - and I'm glad I don't live in the US with that shoddy packaging issue!
Exactly, refer to FF series on SNES > PSX exclusive, no love for N64. Which is what brings me back to my original point - all about market share & profitability at the end of the day. As with any 'exclusive' PS3 title, and mentioned previously, if MS wanted it on the 360, really wanted it, I don't think there'd be an issue. MS has more capacity to absorb loss than Sony do, I think MS only give a shit about having everything in your house Microsoft branded. Eventually, MGS4 on 360. Methinks. :110:
really the 360 doesn't need FF XIII or MGS3. They have plenty of decent to great RPGs, they're exclusivly getting Splinter Cell conviction a series WAY BETTER and less Goofy than MGS. It would still be nice if they came to 360 becuase that would take chunk out of PS3 Sales and it "Install this game to play it" deal.
MGS3, nope, but I know quite a bunch of japanese fans would suck up their pride and get a X360 if MGS4 was an exclusive. And seeing X360's numbers in japan I'll say MS needs that...
No way! Maybe the first SC just sucked, but I remember how much hype that shit had and wasting 50$ on it for the first Xbox. I played a newer one on 360 awhile ago, still sucked. Maybe not sucked, I just really didn't like it, but then again, I'm not big on Army/Tom Clancy games.
I doubt either will. You shouldn't base your hopes or money on 2 titles anyway though. I am sure there will be compareable titles on the XB360 in the end, if not already.
I think there's a possibility that 360 may get some form of MGS4. As for Final Fantasy XIII I never expect to see it 360.
FFXI was ported over because every XB came with a HDD and PC code existed already. Unless the XB360 suddenly sees massive sales in Japan, it's a safe bet to say Squareenix won't port FFXIII across. Chances are close to zero, but there is always a chance I guess.
ROFL. Umm dude. SC Conv is not going to be pretty in the end (it wont be anything near MGS4). Second i'm not sure if i'm spilling any beans here but I dont think SC:C is exclusive anymore.
I would of said last year, the possibility would have been there. But the PS3 just hit a few milestones. Selling 10.5 million consoles, Blu-ray victory, so the biggest threat would have been for these games not to be as profitable as they could of been on the 360. Japanese companies tend to hold loyalty over money, for the most part I believe. Which is not the language Microsoft understands or speaks. The reason we did see MGS2 on the XBOX1 is because it wasn't that great of a game. The reason FFXI Online is on the 360 is simply because it is a subscription based service and the only MMORPG on the 360.
Just in time for Lost Odyssey 2, which I have no doubt in my mind would be the far better game. ray: Like I keep saying, the first one leaves everything Squeenix has done in a decade plus in the dust. MAKE IT SO MISTWALKER!!!!!!
Hell you could throw some Chocobos in there and that victory theme and Lost Odyssey could be Final Fantasy XIII sure it's turn based (and XII wasn't) but Blah. To hell with what the reviwers say this is oneof the best games I've put in my 360 in a long long time
Apparently Konami has said that to go plus they need to sell one million copies of MGS4 the first day. That's 10% of all the PS3 owners. The first day. I'm guessing it'll come to 360.
