KIWIDOGGIE it works for me with firefox and opera using this link.http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/3/3/633118BD-6C3D-45A4-B985-F0FDFFE1B021/EN/7000.0.081212-1400_client_en-us_Ultimate-GB1CULXFRE_EN_DVD.ISO
Got it installed finally of my USB stick. The good thing is x64 vista drivers for my wireless card work so i can get online right away and i've instantly got sound. So far so good and i've not had it installed for more than 5-10 minutes but will have to wait and see how good it is once its been used a bit.
I just cobbled together a new system and would like to try this out.. But alas the beta download is no longer available. Does anyone happen to know where I can find it?
Yea, Torrent sites actually helped distribute the Windows 7 Beta even though MS will never admit it. Their servers shitted out within the first few hours.
I should still have the 64bit version if there is any way i could host it or something unless you got it??
Try giving it a search in www.taringa.net, they have both versions uploaded in many file sharing servers (like megaupload and similar sites). I got mine from there when MS servers were collapsed. The only thing is that the site is completely in spanish, so if you need any help you can PM me and I'll give you the links :icon_bigg
Curious to try this, Mame runs like ass on my XP off Bootcamp, hopefully this may solve the problem? running 8Core 2.8Ghz 8gb ram, no way Cyberbots should stutter the way it does.......
XP is severely limited in the RAM, and Ive had issues with some of my cores not being used in XP as well. Move to a 64bit OS
The DRM is worse than I could have imagined. I can't use this! Damn you MS you have to put a lump of shit into every sandwich you make, don't you?
Well, after 2 months of testing with almost no complains at all I finally could notice the beta status of Win7, and not in a too nice way. I had an error where explorer got closed, followed by a nice BSoD (the first one I had in Win7). I restarted and found out that the HDD's file system got awfully corrupted. Luckily I could recover all my files but the OS and most of installed programs got heavily damaged. I'm posting this to remember everyone who's using Win7 (I know some of you guys are using it right now) to get all your stuff backed up in case something like this happens to you. After this I don't think I'll reinstall until the public RC is released, luckily I installed Ubuntu in a separate hard disk last week just in case and it was the only HDD that didn't get damaged by the error. I don't see a reason to install Windows right now since I'm able to use all the stuff that I need from Ubuntu (I even could put Oblivion and Unreal Tournament 3 to work via Wine), I'm kinda getting used to it to be honest
