lol. That game is kind of love it or hate it for some.

It looked good, but for me, that was about all it had going for it.

I thought the story was way too confusing. You could probably chalk it up to bad translation, not enough focus on story because of the 6 million other playable characters, or dodgy explanation of alternate universes.

The gameplay was also pretty generic, but hey, it IS an RPG.

Personally, I think some people only love it and gave it good reviews because of the word "Chrono" in front of the Cross.

Anyways, there is this PS1 game called "Annoying stick" which looks pretty bad.

Irritating Stick! That has to be one of the most boring games of all time. Suprised no ones brought up Criticom yet.

Worst PSX game? "Overblood" was spectacularly bad in the animation department.

Gamera 2000 steals a lot from Panzer Dragoon style, but it's a great game.

    Info about it here: http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/gamera/gamera.htm

I still think Warhawk is one of the best ps1 game ever. It looks great with PS2 Smooth Texture option.

    What?

Hot Blooded Family graphics are below SNES standards, sound and music are terrible at best, the controls are VERY unresponsible... not to mention slowdowns. I have it, and i play it sometimes when i want to laugh a bit. But saying it's a decent game it's too much.

ESPN Extreme Games was bad when it was released. I don't think it improved over the years.

I'd have to go with Shadow Tower. I bought this from a guy who was selling his used PlayStation games. He showed me this one and I bought it. He's already sold his console, so there was no way for me to try it first.

When I got home and booted the thing, my hair turned grey and is gray ever since. This was one terrible game that I don't want to see again. Ever.

    Check out the screens:

This is how the game looks like nearly all of the time.

    See?

    http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6965/shadowtowerscreen004ik0.jpg

Oh look! A plant! This is actually one of TWO elements in the game that bring in some colour.

    http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/3605/shadowtowerscreen005ch4.jpg

A bridge into the nothingness of shadows... Creative.

    http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/4508/shadowtowerscreen006cj4.jpg

Remember the two elements that bring in some colour, first one being the plant? This is the second and final one.

As you can see, the game doesn't have much to offer in terms of graphics, and believe me, it doesn't deliver in terms of gameplay either. In some ways it's like "Fade to Black" [Another crappy crap. Add it to your list]. One step, two steps, three steps, you die. Again. One step, two steps, three steps, you made it! Four steps, you die. And this goes on, and on, and on.

P.S. - I forgot to mention the happy ending to my buying this crap! I went back to the guy who sold it to me and asked if he really doesn't have anything ealse, since this thing was a total piece of crap. Earlier he didn't show me all his titles, saying he saved them for other people, but this time among other crappy games he had there was a copy of "Wip3out"! I gave him his Shadow Tower, took the "Wip3out" and I have it ever since. Now that's a transaction I'm happy with.

I was going to get to that but felt that I also had to mention Superman 64.

Pepsiman is almost good in a "this game is the most shameless plug ever" sort of way. It's truly an awful game, but I wasted a lot of time on it. If you manage to obtain a copy of Thrill Kill I would consider that game pretty terrible.

    @Mr. Casual
You've got me nervous. I never got around to playing Chrono Cross due to a lot of moving around the country when it came out and I finally picked up a copy 2 days ago. I hope these things you say aren't true! From the excellent reviews all over the internet I figured it was about time I finally sat down and played it... I hope I'm not disappointed. :-(

Chrono Cross is hit and miss, some people kill it, others love it.

I thought it was merely decent with some nice locals, average.

Hot Blooded Family is still good. :p

Hot Blooded Family was ok with me. Sure it was just a generic beat em up, and looked like a game you could play on the SNES, but I wouldn't say its utterly terrible.

In my opinion the cancellation of Thrill Kill had nothing to do with the amount of gore, but certainly the fact it wasn't very good - not even slapping Wu-Tang Clan into the same engine could disguise this absolute steamer of a game!

P.S. Anybody who has ever played the third episode of Panzer Dragoon Zwei will agree that Sega could have taken the makers of Gamera2000 to court over this area: http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/gamera/shot7.jpg

I recall the King's Field game on PSX was not very good at all, now that it comes to mind.

Eternal Eyes, that is an absoutely horrible game, because it has everything to become a great TRPG and it just becomes a Pokemon clone of sorts.

Fantastic Four was awful, and one of the few games to get all 1's in GamePro's reviews, if I recall correctly, but Batman Beyond is even worse from what I've heard.

Come on, Burning Road wasn't that bad. It's not Ridge Race Type 4, but still decent as a Daytona clone given the time it was released.

I nominate Magical Beast Warriors (SLPS-00048) as worst fighter.

I won Burning Road in a competition. It was not bad at all.

    How about... Criticom?
