Cockroaches...... oh wait I was high http://notalwaysworking.com/their-device-passed-the-acid-test/31813 I haven't found anything really other than dust
Usual dust + tooth picks, coins, hair ties (complete with hair). Also had the stoners PS2 (got a pic somewhere). The dogs (i think) toilet. It had been traded in at Game Traders and was not working. I took the case apart and the smell was horrible, you could see the "liquid" stain on the inside. I threw out the shield, gave the board a wash and dry and the fkr worked! i then had one of these Some pics
That XBox looks like used vacuum cleaner bag but no visible damage, but i wonder if N64 was repaired, it looks like it came from a sunken ship or at least something like 5 years on the street.
lol @ omp's pics. Some of those are gruesome. XD I work in the real estate business and do pretty much any kind of field work related to property management. This includes going into an apartment whose tenant has not been seen for over a week and from which a particularly nasty odor emanates.
Back in the early 2000's, when Sega was still doing factory warranty replacements, for free, on Dreamcast's, I sent out a Chinese model to be replaced. Upon the arrival of the replacement, boxed up in one of the Sega Refurbished boxes, I opened it up, curious to see what kind of board it had and a maggot climbed out from under the laser (maybe it was a worm, I don't know). Picture of the old Sega Parts refurb Dreamcast box:
Dead bugs, battery corrosion and a spider's nest inside the cart slot. You can still see some of those bugs glued to the plastics, along with their fecal matter (probably fossilized :lol around the top left side on the picture. Rust and dust are a common. I haven't yet opened any of my two xboxes but just looking at the vents and fan, I expect a bad scenario. No matter what, what I hate most is hair, usually glued or greased.
Opened up and old atari 400 computer and found a brand new box of condoms from around the 80's (Looks like someone was trying to get his game on ;D)
Thankfully nothing terrible so far, the worst being dead bug(s). I'd like to know what a haunted NES cart does or doesn't do.
Well, I had the cart for a long time but it was a pretty bad game so I put it in storage. After I did this, there were several instances of stray mice getting in and then dying right next to it (the storage area was pretty large, but they always gravitated towards this cart.. otherwise the mice were nowhere else to be found). A few years later, I had built up a rather large library of NES games. They were neatly organized on a shelf (label out, standing upright). Unfortunately, they were all destroyed by fire damage. Once it was put out, I checked out the remains of my old collection to see if there was anything left to salvage and found that all the NES cartridges had melted together into one solid piece. I thought it looked cool, so I pulled the entire thing off the shelf. On the top of this melted stack was one cartridge that was still recognizable: the very same, now very worn copy of Fester's Quest. Death and chaos gravitated towards this cart. Though there is a very slim chance that Sunsoft had a voodoo chamber, I chalk it off to eerie coincidences. Probably will not buy another copy of Fester's Quest, but hey, at least the soundtrack was good.
