    It looks good.

Buuuuuuut Pixar isn't on board with this, and most 3D disney movies have sucked pretty bad

Well there may be a few video game oriented joke that will be funny.
But I don't like the fact that the industry is trying to capitalize on the "retro trend".

I'll probably watch it when it'll come out anyway

Pixar movies are now formulaic. Theres always this heartwarming scene thats supposed to play to soccor moms and the people who buy dvds at the supermarket. The best pixar film was Incredbiles which was a rare exception to that.

This film does look fun though. I love how the main character stars in a Donkey Kong clone game, I wonder if that will ever be brought up.

Man, that opening scene of "UP" struck right to the core of all the women I know that watched it... It's heart-wrenching and none of them could hold back tears.

I cry in Anime but never in a Disney movie, only because I KNOW how it's going to play out it will always resolve -_-

I almost doubted a happy ending to Toy story 3. They did a damn good job of suspending that thought of "IT'LL ALL BE WRAPPED UP IN TEH END"

The part on Toy Story 3 were they are doomed was well done. You could actually feel for the characters. Something very rare in a Disney movie. I think the only other one would be Beauty and the Beast were Bell thinks the Beast is dead.

I think the music suits this kind of movie well. Remember, it's geared to youth, so it's not going to be some DEEP CUT music. (I'm reminded of all those people who complained about the track selection in Elite Beat Agents even though that was clearly a game marketed toward many demographics and the gameplay [content!] was incredible anyway.) I look forward to a great movie.

A lot of people have posted with valid observations, but I don't think that should take away from a fun, lighthearted movie such as this one. It may not be 100% perfect in detail, however it still should at least be given a chance. No point criticizing or praising it yet though, I'll save any real opinions for after I've seen the movie.

You know what? It's interesting. Many valid observations that might make it somewhat lame, I guess. So what. Last time I went to the movies was so long ago, that it doesn't matter if it winds up sucking. If it does suck, at least I went and saw it. I'm gonna be out what, seven, eight dollars. Oh boy.

And if it doesn't suck, well, that's pretty neat.

Really, if it doesn't completely replicate the exact feel of arcades circa 1984, well, it might still be somewhat fun. Who knows.
