WTB PS3 TEST/DEBUG

I'm still looking to buy a PlayStation 3 TEST / Debug console. I'm willing to pay allot of cash and/or trade for some nice debug discs (various consoles). If you have one for sale and/or trade please leave a msg or send a PM.

Anyone got the link to the add? I've had a back-scan and can't seem to find it. Was it boxed, manuals etc?

 

Don't bother, it was removed as the seller was a noob, had no posts and didn't actually post any images! I hope to god OE has definately got his hands on it!

Frankly the few who did jump only did so with great caution. I backed down.

 

Somehow it sounded like a scam to me, who in their right mind would trade it for a retail unit?

 

Exactly my thoughts when I read his post - hence my over so slightly sarcastic reply. Alas if a member here did buy it, I hope it all works out ok! (and we get some pics very soon)

That's fully understandable, I was talking about the other way around he could of sold that thing for at least 2 or 3x the price of a retail unit at this point in time.. why the hell trade it for a retail unit? is there something a debug cannot do that a retail can? or was he just out to get somebody at some place and time with 400 bucks or a ps3 in their pocket?

 

I was under the impression PS3 debugs only played debug games, with that in mind he may not have had access to any debug titles and just wanted to play a damn PS3 game.

 

I didn't know that, just going on experiance with PS1 and PS2 debug units that do play retail games, if that's true he may of just wanted to play PS3 games but still he could of sold it quite easy for a lot of money and buy 2 retail PS3's if he wanted to.
Can somebody confirm this about the PS3 debug?

 

I totally agree about it being a bad move financially, you can constantly see peoples interest in owning one in this forum.

I seem to recall a thread a while back where someone wanted one and a member replied something along the lines of they don`t pay retail and you won`t be able to get the debug data so you`ll be stuck with a pretty PS3 that says TEST on it.

Was this the guy with no posts that got banned that wanted to trade it for a retail? and can you confirm retails doesnt play on it?

 

I can confirm that it does play PS3 and PS2 retails, as well as all the usual development type discs including BD-R's of course.
