I need some help big time on this I'm not sure whats happening I got an Xbox from Trusty and it has the speed switch mod in it with a 1TB hard drive in it. OK so this is the problems I'm having. Ok i transferred a ton of stuff yesterday to the F drive Games folder and it transferred just fine so i had some remaining stuff to transfer and i let it sit over night. This morning i check the system and it turned off sometime during the night and it didn't finish transferring all the stuff but that's OK so i start up the Flashfxp FTP and start it where it left off and now it wont transfer But the strange thing is i look in the games folder on the F drive and all the stuff i transferred yesterday isn't there and it was because i saw it and it said it transferred successful. And now everything doesn't show up in the games folder on the F drive. And here is something more strange the F drive had 900GB available before i started transfering yesterday and after i transfered everything it went down to 700GB makes sense with all the stuff on the hard drive now, but now i cant transfer anything and when i look in the games folder on F drive there's nothing there but it still says i have 700Gb available? I'm at a lose i have no idea what its doing now I had lots of stuff in the games folder yesterday everything was great and today nothing shows up in the games folder and it still says i have 700GB of space available? Please can anybody help me? Thanks
Did you format the hdd to the correct cluster size with xb partitioner? also this happens on some sata drives as they are too slow because of the sata to ide adaptor. what breed of drive and adaptor do you have, a picture would be handy ?
I went into the xbpartitioner and choose the 900gb one and hit start and then Y. Is that all i had to do in xbpartitioner? Trusty did it all for me so ill open up the xbox and take pictures for you.
What bios do you have? I would flash ind-bios or another bios that supports the HDD partition table. & yes that's all you have to do, but I would split the Hdd to 137GB on F & the rest on G. (doing the above, will allow a non hdd partition table compliant bios to function properly)
I might have a got it figured out, but not entirely sure yet. I formatted the F drive and did XBpartitioner for the F drive so it seems to be working now I'm transferring all my stuff now so hopefully I have no problems Ill let you all know. Thanks for the help!!!
Ok I got another issue So I formatted the F drive completely and it shows 900GB available out of 1000GB (1TB hard drive installed) and then I used XBpartitioner and I was done. I transferred a ton of stuff to the Games folder on my F drive. After I transferred almost all my stuff I started getting transfer errors through flashfxp? It said "failed to transfer". Some of the folders transferred but the sub folders and files inside didn't transfer correctly so they failed. I tried to delete the folder, will call it Visionary 4 emulator, it starts to delete and then it finishes and there is still the Visionary 4 folder there? I tried right clicking on the folder to delete and its still there When I go in the folder I notices that the folders and files it wont delete are named in weird characters and symbols and they wont delete? Does anybody know why this is happening? I still have 600 GB of space available yet The hard drive installed is a 1TB West Digital Sata III single disc 64M cache HDD Model WD10EZEX. Im running Slayer Evox 2.7.
To show the strange characters that appear. This exact scenario has happened to me with this the startech adapter.
I'm not sure on the adaptor trusty set this up for me. I went ahead and reformatted the f drive and once done I used xbpartitioner and set the f drive to have a 120gb and the g drive to have 800gb. I was told to try this and see if this works I'm transferring files now so I'll post if there are any issues
I can tell you with my startech it would act very sporadically. (The startech is a known working device though...) Sometimes the drive letters would not show up. Sometimes the files would be corrupted. Sometimes AID would run crazy slow. The whole box just acted weird. I finally swapped out sata adapters and the thing ran great. For testing purposes I would drop in an ide drive and see if you still have issues. this will take the guess work out of the problem. Its then either the hard drive or sata adapter.
Just to let you all know I got it worked out I reformatted the F drive again with the slayer EVOx disc and this time using the XBpartitioner I set the F drive to 120GB and the G drive to 803gb and it works great now Thanks guys for responding and for the help
Nothing, Yes a print screen would be more efficient. But why does it even matter... he got his point across?
It doesn't matter, it's just more effort for nothing. It seems very silly to physically get your phone or camera to take a picture of the screen :\
