THIS. beside that i don't find it so ugly... seems confortable to get around with the tv remote... and i found indie games quite fast. maybe after getting used it'll seem better
We do use the bumpers but that's not the point. the main point is that everything is lost or not that easy to find straight away. It really needs to be shuffled about a bit.
I spent 20 minutes, trying to find out how to change the dashboards background / theme! I still can not find it, and I give up. I will not Google such a thing!
This new dash is utter shite (US dash here). Can't find shit, doesn't navigate too easily with the controller (don't have a kinect and don't see a reason to get one anytime soon), an ad block is the the largest block on the home tab (AND it's front and center, where instead it should be the game that's in the drive that should be located there), the games marketplace is a disaster to try and find things, it lags like a mother (I never had any lag issue with the blades dash, and nothing really too annoying with the NXE and NXE+Kinect dashes), and the fucking winner is the Chuck Norris WoW ad playing in a block on pretty much every fucking tab. Seriously? A WoW ad on XBL? I don't have my Netflix sub anymore, but supposedly the Netflix app is nerfed, and the YouTube app won't play all videos (that could be a blessing in disguise though). One thing they should have done is have a separate category in the addon section for the marketplace and dump all of those damn Rockband/Rocksmith/YooStar/etc. DLC into their own category. Nothing like scrolling through 40+ DLC for said games just to see what came out for everything else. I'm sorry, but this dash update is the worst of the bunch.
Yes, yes it is. No more fast-forward/rewind with preview thumbnails (now it is just blind). Boxart takes forever to load and interacting with a movie is... unintuitive...
It seems like Microsoft changes the xbox interface every year now. Hopefully next year's revamp will be better. (GO BACK TO BLADES!)
I rather liked them myself but I can easily see how someone would find them irritating. Then again I haven't used the blade system in years, might feel differently if I had to use it today.
