Xbox One MTE Test Disc found inside the disc of a Xbox One

Someone found a disc inside their Xbox One. Pretty cool, no matter how useless it is.

 

I wonder what it does

 

Where did you get this picture from? I can't trace any source of this information. It probably false. Dated March?

This disc known as (Stress test disc ability) so basically it stressing out the XBOX1 system for purpose only and it requires another testing device since stress disc won’t load in XBOX1 system on it own.

That owner should take back the XBOX1 system and get another one.

Cool! Thanks btw do these MTE retail test discs have some sort of different signaure keys so I'll be able to run other apps if signed? I know its still more likely impossible but just second thoughts

Yeah pretty sure. From memory quite a few people who'd sent their RRoD 360s in for repair had these waiting in their drives.

 

Mannnn, quality control is lacking badly now. Confidential discs being left in retail systems?

I would do what Kev said, I'd love a white XBOX ONE.

Not remotely sure how you can peg leaving a disc in the tray as bad QC. Now an entire dead rat inside the XBone?

 

Especially when it's evidence that your unit was properly stress tested

 

I'd say if anything it's good PR. QC left a test disk in the drive that removes (most) doubt your XBone is tested, as opposed to Sony that sent out a load of bricked PS4s that were obviously not tested.

 

Nice extra present for Christmas.

 

I'm sorry for not knowing this, but is there any unique data on a stress disc to be ripped and distributed? Or are they just basically fancily-printed blanks?
