    Hey!

    Just wanted to take some time out to upload some of these rare gems. IMO, some of these samples were really useful and very informative (especially the ne on Texture Compression). I currently have 5 of these XDK demos and only got around to compiling 2 of them, and one I haven't managed to compile.

    BRDF Sample (2.01 MB): Source + compiled .xbe
    Bunny (1.86 MB): Source only (couldn't compile it right away)
    CompressedNormals (86.34 KB): Source only (needs new project)
    Donuts3D (3.45 MB): Source + compiled .xbe
    TextureCompression (2.30 MB): Source only (needs new project)

    I'm a bit surprised that Microsoft never released these XDK samples! They would have saved me much time and energy in certain areas (especially the texture compression sample). Hopefully some of you can make good use of these. The Donuts3D sample was obviously unfinished, but still would have been an interesting addition to the XDK.

    Keep in mind that in the earlier days of Microsoft's XDK development, they used a customized Visual Studio project (.dsx). Later on, they decided to use standard .dsp/.dsw files for XDK projects. So unless you know the file format's differences, you'll have to create a new Visual Studio project for the ones I haven't compiled.

    Ive got a bunch of stuff compiled from an Alpha-era XDK I believe, maybe Ill upload them sometime.

    Nope, nothing of that nature. I don't think that was part of the XDK to begin with though.

    I used Visual Studio 6.0 with XDK 4361. The only XDK compatible verisons of vc++ are 6.0 and .net 7.0/7.1.
