Just come back from the local A&E (2:50am)because some young scumbag thought it would be fun to beat my 55 year old Dad to a pulp, he's got a broken nose fractured eye socket a severe bruising to his brain the next 24hrs are critical...not sure why I'm posting this, feel like I've let him down by not being there to help, angry is not a good enough emotion for what I'm feeling.

I am sorry to hear about your Grandpa. These times of year are very dangerous, is better to be with the elderly at all time because thieves and crackheads know people have money or goods and they are desperate to get their hands on them. Thankfully brain bruising/swelling is something we don't have much trouble with anymore medically speaking. I'll bet good money he will come out of it pretty much the same.
I wouldn't need a bat to crush his bones. I have plenty of strength when I get into an adrenalin fueled anger rush. On top of that my bones seem to be stronger than normal and I don't hardly feel any pain. In other words, someone tries to fuck with me and they will be in a world of hurt. This guy has angered me. Yes he was, it happened at around 20:30, he'd been at his local for an hour when this guy started hitting a woman...my dad got between them and tried to save the woman and that's when he got beat up. What gets me is that I would usually have been there with him but I stopped drinking a year ago cos it was interfering with my weight lifting (alcohol produces too much female hormone).
it happens, unfortunatly pubs dont have an asshole filter other than the bouncers / doormen. hope your he recovers quickly. i would have done the same thing, and probably have got my ass kicked aswell, i'll be in the pub later hopefully have a nice peaceful drink while watching football and not have to deal with any dicks. other than aiming my own while pissing.

It was reported the second it happened and the guy is already wanted for doing a similar attack to a older guy the night before...he obviously got more confident because he really went to town on my dad.
