To echo the sentiments of just one other poster in this thread, I wouldn't do a damn thing to this lunatic. How is it going to help you having a criminal record for assault and a possible short stretch inside for doing exactly the same thing that dickhead did to your father? Great Christmas that would be for your kids. Let the police deal with - as it appears they have done - and be done with it. Though satisfying in the short term, beating ten tons of crap out of someone isn't going to make your life any better in the long run. Yeah, bring back the death penalty - even though there is zero proof it actually works as a deterrent - smart move. Why not throw in public hanging as well, just to really get people excited.
You know what happens when people get let out on bail don't you? They repeat offences after offence, they NEVER learn. A very high percentage return to jail within a few days to a few months. All crimals do is cause nothing but havok and cause damage to those who are minding own business. If this person will dealt with on his first offence and not let off, Johnace's dad wouldn't be in hospital. We are too light on people these days, this guy has made previous offenses, why should he be treated like everyone else? Because he's human? Get fucked, he's not worth even being around, he isn't going to make a difference in the world, he's only around to look for trouble. I'm sure if the death sentence was around some, just some would think twice about their auctions.
