Hi, i want to convert my wmv files to xmv format, but i counldn't find the App you offer.

Then i search on Google and find one which can meet my need. Share it with you. Hope it's useful.

 

This app isn't needed actually. VLC can convert XMV and play them just fine.

 

The reason behind this app instead of just using VLC is two fold. Number 1 when doing the full conversion with VLC (or at least the build at that time I made this) it would not properly register the video size and length and just play a black screen forever at the end of the video and #2 was audio, in many cases the straight VLC converted file had no audio with Unleashx or XBMC and a few times no audio on PC.

This was done from scratch. Yes I looked at the code in the 5933 XDK and looked at the code for FFMPEG codec pack. And I found serious discrepincies between the XMV code and whats used in FFMPEG.

 

Does someone still have this? I know the thread is dead but all the links are too!

It's called Batch22 it's by SPPV, basically a mix of command line tools with a batch front end.
(Uses FFMpeg & a few other tools to convert to different formats)
