    Actually I was looking at that auction only 1 hour ago! It's the same set that keeps getting put up. I'd like it but not that much to splash out 400'000 yen on it. That's more than a months salary!

    Price probably went up as Nomura is one of the survivors of the crash, even buying Lehman. Of course, they reported a several billion dollar loss for 2008. Imagine that!

    A Canadian friend of mine (who could write in Japanese decently) used to just bid on YJ auctions that said "no overseas shipping" and try to bluster his way through. It worked about 50% of the time. His feedback rating always hovered around -1, with like 40 positive and 40 negative :lol:

    He eventually got banned for one reason or another, I forget why.
