Theiur argument was "since the money is spent and it ain't coming back",sharing it won't change anything.
because they considered sharing it won't decrease its value.
Since the thing is on a crappy CDR,of course it changes everything. It can be duplicated 100 times if you want. The CDR is worth $0 once "shared".

There well in wrong. to call someone what they did because they didnt dump it is bullshit. They didnt say please or anything the minute he said no insults came flying out.

Completely tarnished my thoughts of PCengineFX because of a few moronic users.

That's a good story, but I'm quite positive my copy made it out the door first. $20 donations up to 20,000 yen (from about 10 people). It was, as you said, a "closed" release, but of course it popped up all over the place. Come to think of it, they were likely from the same source (at some point) and the copy that "made it out" could've been from either (or both) pools.

Same thing happened w/ the Angeles 2 Graphics collection & Silky Lip demo. I bucked up a bunch of dough, took donations for a closed release. Next thing you know, ISOs all over the place.

I get a requests to release non-watermarked 300 DPI versions of posters I've posted on gamengai so they can print them off. That's the exact reason I have the watermark... to prevent a bunch of fake prints circulating. Not to mention each scan takes about an hour of my life to do. Money that "ain't coming back" that's for sure.

About the date and who's first, maybe.Maybe not.
Maybe it was a matter of days, even hours, especially if the source was the same. I asked Omar (creator of Meka and owner of smspower.org) permission to use his worldwidely known website for releasing it. Maybe he still has the precise date we FTPed the thing.
I'm quite positive our copy was first, but does that matter?
The thing to remember was that a donator (and we gave WAY more than 20000) betrayed all other oens by selling it for big bucks on yahoo...not releasing it for free, SELLING IT. And that's what decided us to release it to counter his action. the only thing we gain is the broken trust form the japanese guy,who (maybe) had more to propose.
George Palamara would probably say more about it. He was the contact.
But those guys at PCEFX would flame you anyway, because you're a selfish scrooge to keep the damn game in closed release. YOU SHOULDDSHARE, god dammit, the money is spent ant it ain't coming back. ^^

Right,i remember for Angelus 2 & Silky Lip (however, the Silky Lip was an early version, like 2.0 or 3..? There was a ton of versions for that game :)

Well, pics of my collection were useless to PRINT,but to use for fake auctions, yes for sure.
Too bad guys of your kind aren't on pcenginefx forums ^^
good night everyone (or good morning for you :)

I definitely don't have that info. We didn't use an ISO though... good old fashioned snail mail.

Do you guys know who the person was?

Yes. It is the "almost unplayable" version.

That as well. Funny thing is, someone DID use my scans w/ the water mark to post in their sales thread. He just ran a blur photoshop filter over the watermark part. So dodgy.

Personally,i don't...but Palamara sure did (maybe other contributors too)
    Is he still on Internet,though?

A lot of people on that site are just that way. They insult people and "think" they are dedicated community collectors expecting Turbo Duo rare games to be the same prices as TZD had them 14-15 years ago. It's so laughable that many people don't want to go to the website because it's just that unwelcoming. It's the same 4-6 people that do it too. All the really really rare Turbo Grafx stuff I had I sold to a collector (protos and off stuff) for massive amounts of cash, and if I tried to put them up on that site, I would be chastised for expecting lots of money for items I PAID lots of money for.

I will say this, I don't collect CD protos because of this problem with their value, and I grew up in cartridge land, so I will always love those more than anything else, but again, there are SO many people that just EXPECT you to pay XXXX money for something and give it away for free. Then OTHER people try and one up you and do that to dismay others from dealing with you. It's always a bad situation with crap like this. Either jealous collectors or just ignorant people trying to ruin it for everyone.

The thing is,when Aaron Nanto (the admin) sold his factory sealed TG-16 Magical Chase for $2900 (yeah you heard me right),they don't see him as a ludicrous seller,he's their friend. Following their way of thinking, he should spend those $2900 in rare protos and immediately share them, otherwise he's just a selfish scrooge, just like us.

The last full set I observed on Yahoo went for ~120k. 300k is way overpriced for maybe 5 games >10k and a load of crap.

Do you mean actual (homebrew) games or just the DOS / PC-FX soft that was included with the hardware?
