Another game where you are better off having a Playstation 2. Yakumo is a Playstation owner in denial, he really wants a Playstation 3 but can't bring himself to buy a 60GB model.
It can be on the Japanese version. you can also use the Game Cube controllers. I guess the 1 year wait after the US release was worth it. Yeah, as if. I'd rather toss off in the middle of a football pitch  :110:  Yakumo
Stop making it worse for youself, you have far too many games that you could have got on a PS2 / PS3 and would have been better too. Although I surprised by the lack of Nintendo games you own, Sega hormones kicking in when you buy a Wii game? 'Hmm this game is made by Nintendo, must be crap, hmm this game would have been on the Dreamcast, I'll buy that. ).
:crying: Mario Galaxy is really fun. I've almost got all the stars. I don't like the Wii's stick though, I keep falling where I shouldn't. I've also got to vote for Mario Kart over Guitar Hero 3. That game seriously sucks. The charts don't make any fucking sense.
So far Mario Kart has been a lot of fun. The online is a BILLION TRILLION times better than Brawl. I tried it out last night, easy, fast racing goodness.
It's true though, isn't it :110: Actually, you should see my SFC collection. that's nice ! But again almost no Nintendo IP games. You see, Mario, Kirby, Pokemon and even Zelda to a point just don't excite me like they did when I was a teenager. Well, Pokemon and Kirby never did period. Yakumo
So guys, If I was to buy a new game should it be Brawl, Mario Kart or Mario Galaxy? I'm just cleaning up the end of Lego Star Wars now with only anoth17% to go so I'll need a new fix soon. By the way, on Mario Kart can you play with international players or just your own country? Yakumo
different beats. You liked Mario 64? Get galaxy, it will bend your mind and give you a strong hit of nostalgia with some classic and some new power-ups. The best 3d platformer in a long time and surely the most innovative since the n64 days. You like all star nintendo fighting (with sonic!) combined with lots of intense platforming and online play? Get Brawl - not for the faint of heart but its mastery will reward like no other - trully makes a player skilled and will offer tons of 2D fighting/platforming action!! Nostalgia and old-school written all-over , tons of shit to unlock which will keep you busy more than the other two games. Mariokart is the game that everyone can play - easy to learn, not so hard to master, and tons of fun online too! You ll enjoy the odd drive even when the game gets old and the classic courses return to give you a strong hit of nostalgia. Overall, all three games are must haves, just choose your priority based on the descriptions and you ll be fine lad!
yeah... you gotta get all 3. i was very, very impressed with Mario Kart's online capabilities. don't get Brawl for the online. last i checked it was still horrible. it's just hard to play with your friends online period in that game... i <3 Galaxy it's one of my favorite games of all time. in case you can't already tell.
I'd say Brawl - it's much more of your kind of game than either of the other games. Galaxy is a good game, but it's incredibly easy. I haven't played Mario Kart, but it's probably pretty casual as well. Brawl is more challenging than either of them (though still not incredibly hard), and it has some cool retro elements to it. It also has some cool anime-esque cutscenes. Whichever one you get, you should take a picture because I'd like to see what the Japanese cover looks like. Jamtex: What's the difference between the PS2 and Wii versions of Oneechanbara?
It's pretty challenging going for all the stars, but the main game was sort of breezy. Still fun though.
The Wii version wins hands down, Jamtex is just being silly. The Wii version looks better, has very good motion controls with the remote and comes with shit loads of extras not found in the PlayStation 2 version. Oh and you get a music CD with some nice tunes on it. Well, today I'm going to buy a new Wii game. I love racing games but I'll be playing mostly on my own since my mates aren't really gamers so will it be kart or galaxy? Then again I love online play so maybe kart but the F*ing 1 player AI will piss me off, I just know it! Yakumo
lol! it will! you can be dominating an through entire race and then get a blue shell, lighting, and have someone hit you when they turn into Bullet Bill. It happened to me on the last turn of Luigi Raceway. I was in first, then all 3 hit me. Boom. 12th place. :banghead:
I F*ing knew it. Still I think this will be played on-line mostly. Anyway, today I bought new copies of Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart for only 6090 yen thanks to some points I had. Pretty good when both cost 5000 yen each. Yakumo
I just bought Mario Kart Wii guys. Maybe we can play sometime. Too bad it's not Wii Live but whatever. Looks fun, about to try it now.
