Sweeeeet! But wouldn't the light sabre cut through everything with one swipe? Far better that Namco made a real Star Wars fighting game IMO.
Yep. Namco should make a SW fighting game based on soul calibur engine. And get that piece of shit out of my ****ing favorite 3d fighter. G damn you namco. I had massive hope for SC4.
i`m right with you, I had realy high hopes for SC4. From the first screens however I felt that the series is moving further away from the gritty artwork and character/level design. It all seems a bit too colourful, bright and shiny. The characters speaking their battle cries in english is really annoying too (since SC2 I believe). Mitsurugi used to have this dangerous edge to him, which he seems to have lost. I really liked the fact the series had a period feel to it, these characters blow that out of the water. Then again they are probably unlockable secret characters and if Vader uses Mitsi`s moves It could be a laugh.
I thought Tekken 5 was pretty good. I know some people prefer Tekken 4's departure, but Tekken 5 is everything Tekken has ever been and then some. I really enjoy playing it. Soul Calibur got all the attention, but it wasn't as good as Soul Edge/Blade, it just had fancy new DC graphics.
Yeah its pretty weird and to be honest the fighting game news today sucked greatly. Everyone of the new fighters are ones I wouldn't have really gone with except the Pikman characters in Super Smash Bros thought you left?
Anyone else think they are trying to copy Brawl a bit by putting characters in there that clearly don't fit? Because those guys are the only guys who ARENT in Brawl at this point!
Well it's not like it is the first time Star Wars characters have appeared in a fighting game. -hl718
This really isn't that much crazier than having Spawn in SCII for Xbox (Link and Heihachi were a little bit crazy, but they fit the game a lot better than Spawn did in my opinion).... but still very strange. I would think the legal issues with licensing the characters would be enough to make this a waste of time. --Zero
