    Super Famicom

    Reasons:

    - huge game library (over 1400 games!!!)
    - nice 2d graphics (which don't look ugly or outdated much)
    - great rpgs
    - many videogame classics

When it comes to add-ons and controller variety, Famicom is better. But games are too old.

PS2 would be my other choice since it can play all(?) PSOne titles which makes it the uber-system. But old 3d graphics look crappy. Hurts my eyes!

I believe, one of the PSX versions of Wing Commander can´t be played on PS2, but other than that. Then I don´t think there are others that can´t be played on the PS2.

Hmm my favourite console has to be the PS1 the original grey one, i got mine before they brought out the dual anolouge/ dualshock and i spent most of my childhood playing on it except the few times where my friends would have a game of multiplayer goldeneye on the N64, i had more games for it than i've had for any other system.

No other system can provide me with better memories than the PS1. It was the only console i ever wanted, i thought the N64 was ok but i never really knew anything about the saturn but i knew lots about the playstation.

    Easy for me....The Sony PlayStation.

I fell in love with it when I got one. I played it to death when I got Final Fantasy VII and I still love it. It was not my first console (had NES and Sega Mega Drive as a nipper) but as a young teenager the PlayStation was amazing and turned me into the gaming nerd that I have now become! I've kept all my favourite games and strategy guides.

As far as memories go....it was awesome!!!!

It even looks great (in green of course as a debugger  )

Saturn for me, I never had so much fun or spent so many hours on a console since. Hell, I still play at least 4-5 hours a week on my V-Saturn and I keep collecting games for it.

I'm a hardcore Saturn fan, all the way

PS2, even if i think PS1 is close to this one.

I first had the ps1 back at it's launch. Had tons on great games on it.

But, i dunno, think there were more games for my tastes on PS2 than on PS1.

I also like SNES and other consoles, but PS2 is the best one for me.

About the PS2, there's also metal Gear solid VR special missions that can only be played on a PS1... or a ps3

I was going to mention the MSX, but then it's more of a personal computer than a gaming device. And contrary to popular belief it's not a Microsoft computer despite them supplying its firmware. I wonder how many hotshot Polish and Russian coders grew up with the thing? So my pick would go to the Megadrive: Fast 2D scrolling, a soundchip that sounded downright funky and frankly cos I thought Sonic>Mario. And the DS is my all-time favourite handheld since it pips the PSP (which doesn't get the idea of portable gaming very well despite what the fanboys claim), and through the means of a flashcart you can play GB/GBC games on it too.

I'm disappointed most of the picks are 90s consoles though.
