Thanks man. Here is a link to my workprint playlist on YouTube. I upload clips to drum up trades: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-WimBmHk1LpZRbhrUOPdtzuJ_vb_joxY
Very cool. I downloaded an unfinished but as reconstructed as it could be version of "The Thief and the Cobbler", which featured some work prints for some of the spots. I'm big into hand drawn animation, so the intricate nature of this particular animation really drew me in, but it was really cool to see the work prints too. I guess I liked it for the same reason I like seeing prototype versions of games.
Yeah there are a few different workprints for that movie. But you would be surprised how different the workprint community is compared to this one. Most people are demanding assholes lol. That and it's insanely tough to get workprints. Most are not interested in money at all.
Oh that's lame. Would make it much more difficult if everyone's an asshole only interested in other super rare things.. At least you're sharing yours, next best thing I suppose
Well if someone has something to trade then yes I share. If I where to upload all my stuff for free I would ruin the trust of a lot of people who traded with me in the past.
I'm interested in computers and other technology, especially the older stuff (even some of the more recent stuff that isn't relevant or really remembered now). I hope to start a collection of that as well. Other than that I like swimming and I've done some amateur acting. I also have a pretty good bass voice but don't really like to sing all the time.
i like to collect old/newer electronics computers laptops tv ect and fix them up also like going for walks
-Collecting 1960s slot cars/tracks. -Getting more and more interested in collecting old pre-1960s postcards. Good thing they are cheap and take up hardly any room. Too bad they have basically no resale value so it'd be tough to unload them one day if I wanted to get them out of my life.
Just wanted to show off a recent acquisition on the vintage slot car front, love this old school box art This next year I think I'll try to focus more on hobbies like drawing, rollerblading or playing the various instruments I own, hobbies that don't involve acquiring and storing stuff. I'm starting to own so much stuff of various kinds, video games, knick knacks, etc. that I don't find myself enjoying or using 75% of it and its starting to feel like a bit of an emotional drain to store and periodically look at the stuff I barely use.
My brother loves photography. He loves taking photos of people and places. While I love baking and trying out new recipes whenever I'm free from work.
I used to write poems, but since I’ve started to write research papers and essays here, I understood that only prose is my thing
One hobby I have is making video so on YouTube. I have a channel (that I’m not gonna share right now ) where I had about 3000 subscribers and 400,000 total views. Pretty crazy. Would love to get back into that and start a gaming channel as soon as I have some time
I've developed an interested in horticulture recently. I bought a pair of cherry rootstocks. One is rainier and the other is bing. Rainier cherries are my favorite kind of fruit. They are rare and somewhat expensive. Since a rootstock can be found for the price of 2 lbs of rainiers, I decided to plant a tree. They need a bing cherry tree nearby for cross-polination. The vast majority of them come from Washington State (as did the rootstocks I bought). Will they hold up in the Mid-Atlantic? We will see... In time...
Other than playing video games and modding video games (I am the lead programmer and decision maker on a huge engine rewrite project for the game Command & Conquer: Renegade), I also have a huge LEGO collection that I love to build things with (anyone who thinks of LEGO as just a toy clearly hasn't seen what it looks like when you fill a massive basketball stadium full of everything from a huge model of the Golden Gate Bridge complete with police cars that have working flashing lights to a huge Batcave replica featuring pretty much every hero and villain from the Batman universe). My current LEGO project is a replica of some of the buildings and scenes and from Kingsman The Golden Circle for this years train display (which is movie themed) As well as the video games and LEGO, I have also been a fairly big contributor to the software stack for the Nokia N900 linux phone and specifically its community developed software updates (the N900 is basically a portable computer running full Linux/X stack that also happens to be a cellphone and when Nokia stopped issuing updates for it, a number of people including myself took over and started releasing their own bug fixes and improvements and now a bunch of people are working on a totally new OS for the device based on a modern linux stack) Oh and I wouldn't necessarily call it a hobby but like some others on here I just LOVE cooking and food. I especially love anything spicy (my dream would be to acquire some of the real-world version of those super hot peppers from that one Simpsons episode and put them into a batch of Mexican Fajitas or Chili Mussels or something else equally spicy)
One of my hobby is growing/cooking chili peppers. It's really easy even in colder climates. For 5$ you can get Carolina Reaper seeds, grow them, and fulfill your dream.
