oh well, i guess the game will just get better. But that leaves the NGC without any major release for the holyday season. And nothing to counter the xbox 360 release. Twilight Princess could have made the NGC' second breath, but 2006 seems to be way too far and near the ps3 and revolution release.
Goddamit! I bought another Gamecube just so I could play this in November (Yeah, i'm on my third cube now since the other two have crapped out completly). Dammit Nintendo Only CastlevaniaDS to look forward to before christmas then.
This looks more likely to go to the Revolution. Isn't 2006 the projected release date for that system? You've had wierd experiences with Gamecubes, TheDeathcoaster. I've had one, and it looked like the owner had attached it to the bumper of their car and driven off with it. It worked like a charm . Edit: I'm doing very bad with spelling today.
Just had an idea on this: Nintendo release it, for cube, at the time of the revolution launch. Revolution is backward compatible with Gamecube, and nintendo make the game "enhanced" with the revolution - e.g. higher quality textures, more polygons etc. Probably a possibility, and would keep the customers happy - It'd give people who've bought a revolution a way to show of their fancy new hardware, and would give owners of cubes a good game without the need to upgrade. Also would mean nintendo have a zelda for a launch of a console, which has to be a good thing, plus it gives them one extra revolution game at launch without much more work comments?
Nintendo has a battle ahead of them, then. I can't see them coming out of this one intact... Sony seems to be making pretty bad decisions as well, if the pricing and development difficulty rumours are true.
Very true, anything later then fall of 2006, and they will put themselves in a risk. They could do this if the GCN has a healthy ammount of games coming out and a good fanbase, but it doesn't right now.
.. and i doubt it will in the future either. : / if nintendo would still release Twilight Princess in november, i think it could somehow ''resurect'' the cube in advance. you know, november is the best month to release a video game, 'cause it's near the holyday. TP will sell alot of gamecubes, especially if it would be released in the holydays, and you know that no other games could sell a cube so much, just go back in time and see how OOT made an impact to n64 sales. Now, more consoles means more potential costumers for a game, wich is a good thing to attract third parties. More third party games means that the cube could survive all the way to 2007, especially if the cube price goes down, since microsoft said they would like to completly switch to the x360 as soon as possible, and that the ps2 is less powerfull and that it's not the center of attention anymore. Next-gen games' production cost will get really high, so the old gen will last longer than before, imo. add the fact that kids will want that new x360 for christmas, but not every parents will afford the cost of the machine, but they'll know their son want a new system, and there's that new zelda playing on a really affordable system. If you take it like that, the x360 wouldn't be that bad for nintendo.
Well, everyone said that about the PS2... "It's too hard to program for. It'll die. Dreamcast will kill it." And look what happened. Inded, they are making bad decisions though.
I totally agree with ya! I would have bought the the 1st GC Zelda game back then before the GameCube was even released, if the author wouldn't have suddenly changed the characters to look like damn cartoons! Remember the previews? Those were great, until all of a sudden you see a Link that looked like he came right out of some kids cartoon. Well... this is the way Zelda should have been! I just hope Nintendo can release it for the Revolution without jeopardizing their future. That would seriously make me wanna get a Revo...
Oh please, not that ''Wind Waker sucks ans is for kid cuz it's cel-shaded and cartoonish!!!1!'' again.. -_-
Story was decent. I personally thought it lacked the emotion OoT and MM had until the very last area, but it was still pretty good. Too bad the Cel-Shaded link model looked like crap.
I thought it was better than OOT, and Gannon was actually *gasp* tough. You shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I loved every minute of that game, and I think the cel-shaded graphics were perfect. I'm kind of disappointed that they aren't using the cel-shaded graphics for this new one.
sucks, but im not shocked, it seemed that the game was comingout way too soon, and lets face it, no one wants to play a zelda that is underpar, cause i know that nintendo does not like to release stuff unless it is at least decent, but im guessing that they just dont want to screw this up, funny how one of 64s big last game was majoras mask, and this too will probably it, though im shocked mario 128 never got comelete for cube, would have saved nintendo quite a grace.
