Looking to get a chip installing in my xbox; currently softmodded and will not boot (your xbox requires service) made a thread in the xbox section and determined that a modchip would fix the issues I am having.

How much do you think it would cost to ship to Canada? Boston, MA to you

If it is cheap enough I would be very interested in having a chip installed.

2 days and you are complaining about not having a tracking number yet?

I think that is a little bit over the top. I ship twice a week, so depending on when you order from me - you could wait 4 days until something ships.

Also, does he even offer tracked shipping? I know for me to ship tracked, it costs more than the item

Question, do you also supply these "Sega Dreamcast Region Free Bios (VA1/2 Dreamcasts Only - Link83 or Retail)" in European (Blue swirl) style?

The color of the DC Swirl is usually determined by what region your DC is set to which is not in the bios, i believe the region setting is on another IC on the board. You would want to do the "Region Change" mod where it involves soldering a wire between 2 points on the board and using a homebrew disc that changes it (Visit mmmonkey.co.uk for more info). So if the PAL DC's have the Blue Swirl boot up animation, you would want to do that mod and switch your DC to PAL. This is the only way i know of changing the color of the DC swirl...

For PAL PS1s, you could probably just install non-stealth mod chips. Most (all?) mod-detecting games disable the mod detection if they detect a European PS1.

Although it's long since past the time that PS2 chips were actually being designed, at this point, modding all but the last PS2 model could be greatly simplified. The most wires of PS2 mods went toward patching the BIOS. Rather than doing that, it's possible to just use a memory card OSDSYS update based on a modified Free McBoot to accomplish those tasks.

It depends on your needs, but in my personal opinion, i find modchip's are much better for me.

    FMCB:
Boot PS2 DVD backups from ESR via Menu's (CD based PS2 games will need to be converted to DVD and then will be needed to be patched)
Boot PS1 backups by blocking lid sensors, loading an elf (cogswap?), and swapping discs
    Boot backups from HDD
Boot .elf homebrew files (Emulator's, etc) from memory card.

    Modchip:
Direct boot of PS2 CD and DVD Based Backups
Direct boot of PS2 CD and DVD Based Imports
    Direct boot of PS1 Backups
    Direct boot of PS1 Imports
    Region free DVD playback
Boot backups from HDD using the DEV options in various firmwares (Matrix, Toxic OS, etc)
    50hz/60hz patching on-the-fly
32MB/64MB/128MB Third Party Memory Card Support.

Probably more benefits to both methods, but this is only on the top of my head and i'm just waking up.

That's a ridiculously neat install, something to aspire to.
