Exactly. We even have a common phrase for it: the killer app. People buying consoles with one particular game in mind is a very common occurrence.
I bought a PS3 entirely because of MGS4.(And i've played singleplayer multiple times for over 70 hours and have not even gotten the BB:Emblem, and i've spent over 1000 hours in MGO) Could never be happier ,until It YLOD last month.
Just read a little bit about that BB:Emblem. Seems next to impossible. Do you know anyone that has gotten it? Sorry, off topic...
Ho man, it is incredibly hard to get. I've spent so much time just playing the 1st chapter with all the requirements you need for it and have yet to pass it. Of course, I can't really try anymore. But to your question, I don't know anyone personally who has gotten the BB:E But i've seen pictures online and read about people who have. Someday I'll get it hahaOH:
I haven't bought a DS since the original, I think I'm due. Preordered mine already, can't wait. My original DS is FUBAR anyway. Scratched up, microphone is toast, etc. I'm waiting to play DQIX until I get my 3DS, so even if the 3D launch games suck, I won't care. DQIX + Pokemon B/W = Yay 2011.
I didn't think about it like that but I also have not bought any newer DS systems. Infact my DS battery is pathetic now and won't hold a charge for particularly long. But my system is in good shape. So I wouldn't buy a 3DS just to have a new DS system. You have to have good worth while software.
Btw there will be a press event with real 3DSs here in Grecce on Saturday. It seems very interesting. I think i'll buy day one, or at least in the 1st week after its release.
$349.95 in Australia on March 31st.. quite unfair price considering USA dollar is about the same as ours now
