Here is a little example what users have created with Dezaemon 2 for Sega Saturn: http://www.zoome.jp/combine_tag_combine_list?q_tag=dezaemon I wish that someday there will be plenty of shooters for Dezaemon DD, too!
I would like to commend you for releasing this willis82 even though you didn't reach the donation target. Good work.
Out of curiosity, I don't think we ever established everything the expansion does. What things can you do with it besides sharing levels you made?
Here's something I made. Maybe it'll help in getting copies made. I could make a back too if we do. I have a larger copy as well.
Dam thats sweet. I'll have to print that out, would love to see a back too! To answer your question sharing levels, ability to create larger levels and a new set of levels from the creators of the game are about all the disks are made up of.
Do you plan on releasing the first or third disk in any way? Maybe the third will be only used for repros (if they can be made)? Also, some end labels...
Yeah eventually I will. I'd like to see some work done on the rom I released first. Once I see it either running on an emulator or reprod I'll release the other two. I still have all three disks. I'm going to try and get those images printed off to put in an empty dd case for my disks. The stuff you've released is sweet!
Oh, incidentaly, the compression used is traditional LZSS in binary mode (00 fills instead of spaces) with no header. So, you sort of have to guess the original filesize. The cart had a nice little filelist with sample names and sizes, but you can only find the sample names themselves in the disk. Could guess file locations and sizes (a few are obvious) but for an accurate list--especially concidering redundancy--would need an internal table. A crummy little filedumper for the cart (and a few other games) in python: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?r8ijh83gau183um
Working on a back for it currently. All I need are some screen caps of the game (I don't want to use other people's off the Internet) and and Japanese text, which may prove difficult... Also, the only things I currently have on the back are 1 player and the "Japan only" mark. I don't think the game uses anything else, does it?
