Well, I have an iPhone presently. I don't know if I like that or not, but it does the job it is intended for. It's not great for emails though.
The good thing about the nokia is that you don't need to jailbreak it - it's completely open to user manipulation, being a version of Debian apparently. I m not a linux guru of any sort by a long shot, but it's slowly dragging me towards linux.
All you need is about three wicked apps to sell someone on the iPhone. The free J/E dictionary blows the tits off of any that come on any of the other phones. That alone is enough for me. There's plenty more to keep me busy as well (Time Online news reader, etc.).
OT again, sorry :$ but the other iPhone users - do you feel trapped too? like you've got these apps, you use them whilst on the toilet happily, looking at other phones... you're afraid you can't go to them because of the routine? or am I just weird like that?
What J/E dictionary are you using? I want to find a decent one to look up simple words for when I get stuck in a game and it's yelling at me to do an action they highlighted but I don't know what it means.
Kotoba. It's awesome. Back on topic: I have played not a single XBLA game, and only a few PSN. For the ones that are released on both systems is there ever any worry about which is better?
Normally anything that is on the 360 and PS3 ends up better on the 360. Noticeably are loading times (Same with PSOne and PS2 really), frame rates and resolution. Games that spring to mind are: Bayonetta - Frame Rate problems and God Awful loading on the PS3 Ghostbusters - Some lower texture resolutions on the PS3 Call of Duty 3 - lower resolution textures on PS3 Carbon Need for Speed - Blurry textures on the PS3 Fight Night Round 3 - PS3 has better models but takes twice as long to load It's not always the case that the 360 version of the game is best but it seems that in most cases the 360 comes out on top. I'm not spouting bollocks here either. There are many comparison sites out there that you can check. Yakumo
As far as XBLA vs. PSN goes the main consideration is probably the pad, to be honest. I'd take the PS3's d-pad over the 360's any day of the week, and I'm not generally a fan of the dual shock's d-pad. I ended up buying one of the Street Fighter IV branded Saturn-ish pads for the 360, and while the d-pad isn't perfect it's a hell of a lot better than the one on the stock controllers.
Even though these were developed simultaneously, the PS3 version was outsourced. The code is based on the 360, thus better. I'm assuming something much lower calibur like a PSN/Live exclusive would be a bit more evened out.
I didn't know it was outsourced. Whoever did the port did a poor job. I'm not sure about downloadable games though. maybe someone can get a list together?
I have to say I totally agree, and have seen other people usually think the same. Although I will say the PS3 seemed to just seem smoother on my HDTV... but the games themselves would have longer load times, and even with that they wouldn't stand up to the Xbox 360's counterpart. Thats why I sold my PS Triple. :020:
As usual I ll be forced to buy it on the PS3 (despite owning a 360!). I wish it would hit the PC as well.
This image makes me a happy man. HORI ACE-EDGE/Flight Stick EX support <3 (There's a pic of it being played with a Saitek stick too)
Played alot of OR on PS3 never had any issues what so ever? OT: any known release date set for After Burner?
Anyone with access to the Japanese 360 dashboard (well everyone if you make a JPN account) should check out the latest Play x Play video. 10 minutes of Afterburner Climax running on the 360 along with an interview with the Director and PR manager of the game. Also shows the new flight stick in action. Aparently the thrust gear is very heavy to give a more realistic feel. Yakumo
