I would also perhaps propose a more thorough distribution of these files via newsgroup or torrents so that this profiteering is killed off permanently.
I would be more than happy to torrent some of the releases i have donated, although with my sucky uploads speed (20kb/s) it would take a while for me to seed them Anyone on here have experience of creating nice ascii art for the .nfo files? would be nice to have our own release group name for them and putting credit where credit is due in the text
haha the this is whats up http://www.text-image.com/convert/ascii.html but ill show you the product somehow, it does not seems to paste properly on this forum.
Here we go, this is just pure sexy...Checkout the saved picture version here Make sure you enlarge it to the original size
cool, though it's way to big to include in a nfo/id.diz and there's no soul in auto generated ascii art. and second, is it really a good idea to tag the releases with the ASSEMbler logo? Just thinking that it could potentially cause problems for the site? I guess that one is entirely up to Kev.
Looks like we have a couple of competitions then 1. to come up with a realease group name, as i agree, dont really want to advertise they came directly off assemblergames 2. to design a standard .nfo file for present and future releases with some unique ascii art Could also have cover designs for each of the releases although that may be a bit too much work
It was just a quick 2 minute demonstration, I actually just took it off the forum logo haha. The size can be changed. But yeah its up to you guys....I think it would be clever to somehow incorporate the assembler name without giving it away.
torrents are unrealiable and gives your IP away to everyone. If that is what eveyone else wants to do, i'll seed as much as I can.
The Code: tag doesn't seem to work for some reason. Just something i made in a few minutes.
Dont worry about wider releases, thats being taken care of. Wrestlemania was set to be the last release through my site
