That's been dead for forever. After it got canceled Hiroshi Iuchi left Treasure and worked with G.Rev on Strania.

That's really the big thing. Though 5PB only had the publishing rights to Ketsui and DDPOJ, so it's unlikely the PS3 will be getting the fuckton of other Cave games that are on the 360.

 

G.Rev is like the result of an affiar Taito had with Treasure. Since it's made up of Ex Taito Staff and works with treasure from time to time coughIkarugacough

NONE of those 360 games are of any interst to me. If I want to Play Perfect Dark I have a perfectly good N64 to play it on. I'm not a halo fan besides the first one.
Really the last Bastion of hope for me on board with the 360 was the Shmups and now that they are trickling on to the PS3 It's not looking good for the XBOX.

OH and lets not forget that the PS3 version of 3rd Party games are the ones that get exclusive content now NOT the 360, Plus I'm not entirely sure the 360 version of Skullgirls will ever be updated.

 

G.Rev is like a one-hit wonder, or I guess two-hit wonder. Border Down was absolutely fantastic and Under Defeat was good (though I vastly prefer Border Down), and everything else has been ass.

 

I'm not crazy about Strania myself. I wish Raizing still made shmups rather than Vs games for Capcom and shitty Naruto Games.

 

Didn't you say Pink Sweets was too hard earlier in this thread? You do know that it's made by the Battle Garegga guy right?

Yeah I did say that and I did not know it was. But Battle Garegga plays completely different from Pink Sweets. Part of what makes Pink Sweets so difficult is i have no idea what in the Blue Hell I'm doing. This Charged shield, the no bomb thing. I didn't even realize the game doesn't end unless you set the option to.

Now on the other end while still hard (ok lets be honest I SUCK at Cave shmups that aren't Deathsmiles) I have less trouble playing Ibara.

I thought for sure the nextbox would revive HD-DVD to avoid royalties to Sony.

 

Only reason I still have my 360 is Tales of vesperia. I like to play my games in a language I understand well or else I'd import it.

 

But remember that a lot of the older PS3 3rd party games were ported terribly, like the Orange Box.

 

Well, yes, Battle Garegga and Soukyuugurentai are worlds better than Pink Sweets and Ibara. I'm just sayin' the same guy made all four of them. :wink-new:

I disagree 10000% . 360 controller is a terrible controller IMO

Un-ergonomic piece of shit that has completely awkward button placement and is too big and heavy.. Shit even the Wii U gamepad is lighter than the 360 wireless controller with batteries or a battery pack in. Not to mention the stick sensitivity and deadzone is completely awful.

Plus the damn thing uses RF so it's incredibly susceptible to interference.


But to each their own. I'll take a DualShock and even a wii U gamepad any day over a 360 controller.

 

The morphing D-pad 360 controller is probably my favorite modern controller.

 

Opinions are fun. You must have really strange hands... the vast majority seems to have no problems with that controller, let alone feeling encouraged to call it a piece of shit that is 10000000% worse than anything else, lol.

I read earlier in the thread that someone called Cave "overrated". That's getting so old, too. They made fantastic games... but well, if you like the uninspired endlessly repetetive and unfair design solely based on memorization of safe spots in all the Psikyo-trash, that may be your opinion... man... but Cave is not overrated. I like Toaplan and Garegga, too, but Cave is (was) the only modern developer who led the shooting genre in a new direction. It's not as if others never tried, Cave actually just beat them all with quality. And that was way before they started to be hyped by fans in 2005-2010.

 

Play the Saturn with large hands, then come back to me.
It's acknowledged by some users yet has little real consensus on a solution.
