    Why bother with this thing? A Wii can be had for like £30 used and they are fairly rock solid machines.

    That's probably the most fun you can have with a non-modded Wii at this point.
    As for why this is being released, Nintendo just want to squeeze every last drop out of their ancient hardware.

    i like the look of it, its got that kinda retro feel to it i think it'd be a great emulator box, media centre,(once softmodded/hardmodded if possible) or for the back of a family car with a screen to keep the kids quiet.

    i am also wondering why just Canada ?.? i would like one of these as a spare wii but i want a PAL version over ntsc or whatever the region is in Canada and it looks sorta fragile ? might break importing lol

    It's reported to have HDMI output. We'll see. I like the look, and top-loading reliability. Too bad they didn't make Wii U as simple and elegant...
