Hahahah, Nintendo did that a loooooooooooooooooooong time before Apple. Before it was cool, so to say
Judging by the design of the eject button and lack of apparent slot, I'd guess this thing is a top-loader. If it is, I hope it's a better top-loader than the shitty new PS3 Slim (the PS3 has undergone 3 design revisions as well). A though occurs to me: what if SEGA had made a Dreamcast Mini? It would be friggin tiny.
No WiFi or internet capabilities.:nightmare: http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkai...announces-wii-mini-for-99-but-theres-a-catch/
why ios it so insanely costy then? ?_? it's a decade old gamecube inside and they took out wi-fi and internet >_>
It has no internet nor online support, its a gamecube with wiimotes Nintendo is trying to enter the BRIC markets with this stuff, end of story
what is the source of hdmi rumors? i will surely buy one if it is true. and i hope gamecube ports can be soldered like family wiis.
You guys complain they're selling 11 year old hardware with less features than the original hardware?? Look at this console: - Came out 10 years after the original Famicom - Was NOT shipped with AC-adaptor or video-cable - Did not have a microphone in the second controller like the original Only upside: Ergonomic controllers & AV out That was 19 years ago.
Here's the PR from Bestbuy Can't see any details on output. I will take a pic of the packaging once I see them on the shelves.
i don't think there will be hdmi output, cause it's packaged with standard composite cable. http://www.nintendo.com/wiimini/what-is-wii-mini/#/whats-in-the-box but what is true this is official.
Hmm, $99.99... I think I'll buy it to add to my console collection(plus, I can finally play the wii on long car rides to Ohio).
It has a USB port. I dont expect it to be long before someone runs homebrew on it and installs what ever software support is missing and then uses a ethernet adapter.
Yeah i guess it's "mini" because it lacks quite a lot of features, not because of its size. Why don't they called it a Wii Lite ?
Not small to be called mini, yes. I liked that it's top loader and i'm glad they kept a USB port. There's only the A/V multi out port though.
