http://www.4colorrebellion.com/archives/2007/10/16/wii-gets-an-ugly-chinese-half-cousin/ It looks kinda nifty? Is it?
WTH?? I immediatly thought this was another famiclone when I read the title but it certainly isnt! Anyone tried one of these or know what's under the hood? o.o
I've been waiting a long time for someone to gettheir hands on one of these so that we can all see how it is. From the screen shots it looks really nice for a clone but did you notice that it seems to have the same character in many of the games? I'm trying to watch the video but it doesn't seem to load. Yakumo
Wow I remember seeing this a while ago and also thought it was a famiclone, but it most certainly is not! I am quite impressed and very curious now.
It looks to me like it's 16-bit or maybe 32-bit. I think all of the 3D looking stuff is actually prerendered. The fact that the camera doesn't move at all in any of the videos is one of the reasons I think this.
it's almost as good as the real thing (HALF [JUST HALF] joking). shame on nintendo that make people pay that much for nothing :/
Damn, why can't the manufacturers tell the specs? Even if the scenes are prerendered, the processor must be at least a 32-bit one, in the videos it looks like it runs really smooth. Now, if the 3D graphics are real we're in presence of a really powerful console...
I contacted their factory(?) by email. According to their reply they will deliver a price list and shipping cost to me soon. They also mentioned that one of their team members is also German, and was a part of the German Olympics athletic team for 14 years. They sent along a picture of her with the Vii controller. Well that is some interesting info  I will let you guys know their direct prices and hopefully also shipping costs if anyone else but me is after this obscure console
S1xty, if the price is right I may consider picking one up. Always nice to have another stange console under my belt.
WHAT THE FCUK! Why is our german athlete queen working for a chinese pirate company?!?! I don't get it...well sixty, if you wanna order....order one for me too, i'll pick it up at your house then
Looks 32bit. Most likely not a pirate clone. I don't think clones will publicize as much as this company has.
It makes sense, nowadays 32bit ARM processors are really cheap and more powerful than most of the processors used on the PSX-Saturn era, take cellphone processors as an example (mine is quite old and has a 45 MHz 32bit ARM)
Here's a link to the maker's website: http://www.letvgo.com/news/1014.htm Not much to see though. It looks as the site was just launched a short time ago. s1xty, thanks for getting in touch with them and please keep us posted on the information you get. The thing with the ex-athlete is very weird indeed. :katamari:
