Wtching the videos again shows that the Vii remote seems bloody awful for response time. Just look at the bowling game or that kid with the fishing game. Yakumo
Meh. Doesn't look very remarkable. I've seen all these kinds of imitator products before in Shanghai and other parts of China. Almost all of them are more liken to those TV games you get in North American than a real console.
Seems interesting. It could actualy have a pretty decent processor in it. The 2D scrolls rather smoothly (it's definantly all 2D). Recently I've been looking into the JXD 301 from a chinese company. It's a simple mp4 player but the thing has a freaking 600mhz CPU (Its a low cost processor based on intel x-scale). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRv7oJWTzS0&eurl=http://cgi.ebay.com/JXD-301-PMP-MP3-MP4-2-GB-RMVB-RM-real-player_W0QQitemZ160172924107QQihZ006QQcategoryZ98198QQcmdZViewItem
Still no new on prices, instead it seems like they added me to a Chinese product news letter. Today I received an Info mail about what seems to be a Jet Ski for Kids Oh well, we'll see how this goes
subbie: wow, that thing looks the business! I must say Chinese-made products have really been improving as of late.
Yeah, they are really making an effort now, glad they are moving from the usual iPod clones (which I actually prefered to my iPod) into new territory. If I hadn't got a sneaky (blatant) hint I was getting a Zune for XMAS I would be sticking some money down on one of those!
New stuff from the mailbox, still no prices: Life is a GIME? :noooo: Also it seems the JetSki that I got earlier in my mail is actually A CONTROLLER for the Vii h: : :katamari:
Wow, they are really pushing that shit. I bet all it is is the same tech fround in the like of that aging Dragon Quest sword game. Yakumo
We´re proud to say "Vii" are Chinese... We´re proud to say "Vii" are stealing products and Ideas from all over the world... edit: check out the last picture where the people look through the TV: The old man at the right is wearing a nice 80´s style Shirt with an Adidas-Logo... Hehe, do you think its an Original? :110:
It looks like all of the pics on that site are just stock photos with the Viimotes photoshopped into their hands.
LOLOLOLOLOLLOOLOLLOLOOLLOLLOLOOLLOLOLOLOL. Look at the information paper, it says 1280 Yuan. That's some whooping 120€!!! :O
Those weird monkey/kangaroo things at the top look like somebody pulled them out of their ass in 3 seconds.
Got new mail from them, still no prices :-( However: Especially digging this: A legitimate interactive video game in China and wii is not  Also, here is a new video (or a VIIdeo as they call it) which shows some high res footage of the games: http://tv.mofile.com/U3KD76S5/ My guess now is that it is indeed a 32bit console.
Sweet ! Do you think the "gime" is really a engrish typo? ^^ WTF! About the hardware, like Zkillemal said, I would not bother... Its probably just an average arm cpu hooked directly to a frame buffer and some MB's of work-DRAM, few usd of parts... Nothing cloned or/and exciting at all ... ^^.
Okay, Prices have arrived. The Vii comes as a whopping 168 USD retail. However, If we find people to buy 5 or more units we can get 20%+ off. The console is available in both PAL and NTSC and also several different BIOS language versions (I assume just English and Chinese) - He only asked if I wanted an English system. Also he sent along some tech info: It does come in quite pricy, but I still am tempted to buy one just because its so hard to not buy obscure stuff.
