You have With Teeth another one I have trouble finding at a decent price. Go figure Downward spiral is common on Vinyl and the one NIN album I no longer relate to. There is something timeless about pretty hate machine.

Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals is another one I'm dying to find on Vinyl. It's just so.......David Bowie.

Of course speaking of Bowie, ANY old Bowie on Vinyl is needed in my collection.

OK I was in NYC this weekend and my haul...WAS NOT epic. But it was still a VERY Good haul. I got some good deals on these albums.

This place is a hall way. It's very cramped and full of worthless albums, But if you look you'll find some goodies.

And I found a few goodies. If you watch Frasier then you should know the name Renata Tebaldi.

I have two Pending hauls remaining for the year before I slow down to focus more on gaming and gathering up games for PS4. IF the Ebay deal goes through It'll be one of my best haul's yet. Over on Amazon I have more Bob James queued up.

Some new buys today. Typical 80's and 90's mostly British pop.

Billy Ocean - Suddenly (Japanese release)
Mel & Kim - F.L.M. (US release with a different cover and 1 different track to the UK release which I also have and a very odd play list order)
Taffy - I Love My Radio 12" single (Japanese release)
Electronic - Getting Away With It (US CD single. - I wanted the record but it cost a fortune)

While looking around the record store today this was the last thing I'd expect to find. A well and truly WTF! moment.

Mel Smith (RIP) and Kim Wilde - Rocking Around The Christmas Tree

I never would have expected to find a British 80's comedy Christmas charity record, in 12" form as well, in a Japanese record shop in 2015!

Here it is the Jazz Mother load. One of the bigger items I picked up had a skip on on it. and thus will be on it's way back to it's seller.

Herbie Hancock: Speak like a Child and Sextant
    Stan Getz Voices
    Charlie Parker the Verve years
Charles Mingus let my children hear music.
Thelonious Monk and John Coletraine: Monk/Traine
Wes Montgomery: The incredible jazz guitar of and So Much Guitar (Japanese Pressing)
    Johnny Hodges: Blue notes

and I forgot to take a picture of it so

    Needs no explanation.

They were made exclusively for Newbury Comics so the only places you can get them are in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

That's cool. If I still lived in CT I might drive out to RI or Mass to get some, but from Philly it's just too much.

I looked on the website, it appears they're sold out of the Green vinyl already but there's a Pink cotton candy and red and white copy they offer.

I ordered a carbon fiber record brush from Amazon 2 weeks ago. It finally arrived today from Spain! Amazing bit of kit though. The carbon fiber feels so soft but can get in to the record groves to remove all the dust and crap. It also takes away all static charge making your records sound so quiet during the blank spaces. As you know static charge is the cause of many of the crackles on a record.

I'm looking for a good record brush myself. Right now I'm using a microfiber cloth that came with my PSP oh so many years ago It works OK but I need something better for the older records I have.

Use a washing system for old records, like the Spin-Clean or Nitty Gritty. Yes, keep a carbon fibre brush handy, too. Pro-Ject do a range of cleaning accessories at reasonable prices.

You don't need to buy any of that stuff. Just buy some purified water and car pure soap and wash those records. Don't forget to rinse them well and pat them dry. Don't let them drip dry.

Original 1980 Japanese press of the Empire Strikes Back Sound Track!

Sadly the record had some mould on it but a quick wash later and look at how shiny this bad boy looks!

I'll leave it for 24 hours to make sure it's completely dry before giving it a spin. It should sound fantastic.
