I just popped over to the sonic extreme forums to look around and they are openly talking about it. "I can't donate" and "8 days until release". I say we don't release it at all.
yeah, seriously.. Ive had so many people IM me, asking for the ISO of the S-X demo, as I posted a vid on youtube about it (don't know how theyd get my IM from that, but whatever).. and they keep asking, just not letting up when I say NO to them. Whoever is leaking info to the Senntinent forums needs to stop (I have a good idea who it is, ___)
The cover contest is what helped it get known. People who were invited into this section of the forum were either members of the senntient forums or were friends of them. If you are all proposing not to do a public release simply because there were a few that couldn't keep their mouth shut about it, than that simply defeated the purpose of this release in the first place. The fact that you guys donated here and there for it is so that the collector of this item would be given compensation as he paid a high price for it, but it was definitely an over inflated price. That's most likely why he agreed to do a public release but wanted some slight compensation for it. Those who donated would be rewarded first by getting a hold of it before and enjoy it before everyone else would be able to. I was unable to donate, but am I desperately waiting for it to be publicly released? No, I'm not. And even if things were different and did donate, the purpose behind wasn't to get a hold of the game, it was simply to support the community for the right cause of letting these types of things be publicly known, instead of being kept behind lock and key and used as a status symbol. Over 200 members were allowed access to the subforum, some made their FIRST or second or third post in the 0th bit topics. I can only vouch that there are less than 100 people that were members before 2005 who were given access to the sub forum and those people know better. I don't know about those who were members for only for a few weeks or days just before they were allowed access. You can't trust everybody but you can't accuse everybody. It's up to Kevin to decide what happens.
I would rather wait for a release on here than get it from someone over on senntient. Sorry but I just don't like the forums and being not one to jump at something that someone has got a hold of that they shouldn't I will wait for ASSEMbler to release it officially.
Hey, is there an Assembler logo on the release, like when it boots up, so that people know where it originated from? That'll show the bastards who's the boss.

We did this for ourselves. We need to release it so no one rips people off. It's like building a bridge, no one will ever think of who made it possible. People know we made this happen, no need for giant logos or to withold it.
I think we should release a public statement saying that we've decided not to release it because of the leaking of information. We could still release the ISO, but it would just be interesting to see how people would react.
People need to grow up and be more responsible when it comes to things like this. One person ruins it for everyone.
Sure, if you want to get death threats, people throwing themselves out of buildings, hostige situations, etc. Don't you know it's dangerous to dangle unreleased Sonic games in front of fanboys and then withdraw at the last moment? Half of them would have an instant heart attack, and the other half would commit suicide. Which of course means we should totally cancell the release [That was a joke btw. Please do not cancel the release. Becasue I want to get it also.}
Could always release it a day or 2 later than they think it's going to be just to mess with their heads.
Not really he he we are just tired of people who sing our songs the wrong way. And people who are dissing us, all the fucking time. And the forum we like. And people who can´t keep secrets. So the person or persons has done the damage, by leaking the information are fucking imbeciles of a motherless goat. And they deserve a kicking.
