Well I guess you weren't a member back when it happened but he did cause a lot of aggro here over a year ago. Indeed look at his first post here since he was allowed back and he even states "I realize I was part of something that caused a reasonably large stir here, and I appologise for that." As for half the internet knowing about it...that's irrelevant I'm afraid and I think you've missed my point a little (sorry if I was unclear). Its not the information itself, rather the provision of the information, and the lack of respect and manners associated with that that dampen my view of HXC. Again I'll state I've got no beef with you at all, I'm just trying to correct your history and understanding of my views and hope I have done that politely and succinctly. Assembler wants it to be left which seems good to me, but if you do have any comments please pm me so as to avoid derailing an already derailed thread even further.
Not trying to start anything here, but aren't the people whom have spoken on this (outside of the 0th bit) and on other boards of the cover contest, future releases, etc. and the threads that involve them also, allbeit inadvertantly, breaking the "first rule of fight club". Again, not trying to start anything, but this doesn't seem that different from the guy this thread was posted about as they are acknowleding the existence of a hidden sub-forum. I understand mentioning all the great donors that made the release possible, but shouldn't it be left at just that outside of the 0th bit? Again, just my two cents, and I am not trying to start an argument, but share a prospective.
I dont see the problem mentioning that it was assembler members who donated for the release, and that a cover contest was held. Anything beyond that might be too much, but I think were ok with those. For all anyone knows we organized it through IRC or something.
http://preview.tinyurl.com/yr7yly Someone at another forum not mentioned in this thread broke the rules. inb4 " 'first two rules' " for those of you that know; they don't apply in this case.
Well Cheese007, that someone could have just inadvertedly come across the download on those Senntient Sonic forums and got it and not know about the whole issue with Assemblergames and leakage. We don't know... and I certainly don't want to jump to conclusions. Wait, has this just been publicly released now?
Yeah its been released since yesterday. I myself am a bit mad about people leaking information about these hidden sections since its all suppose to be secret. It just goes to show it doesn't matter how much you tell someone they just don't listen :-(
