All you need do is wait 89 days before leaving negative feedback, then leave it on the last day. If you get lucky the guy won't catch it an he won't be able to ruin your perfect 100% feedback rating.

I have a plan to deal with this guy:

We will need an assortment of items -

    - 3 lbs of assorted fruit (oranges, lemons, avacados, etc.)
-1 lb of dogshit or human waste
    - Several dead rodents, small birds, or other types of dead animals or roadkill.
    -two cardbaord boxes.

Put all the assorted nastiness into a cardboard box and stick it in your backyard in a place where it can get sunlight. Wait until you can see oil deposits on the outside of the box, then wrap it in plastic and seal it in another box. Do a "trade" with this scammer and send him the suprise in lew of payment. If he makes the mistake of actually opening this in his house it'll smell his place up for weeks.

You get bonus points for vomiting in the box before you seal it.

Petty revenge? Yes. But it is revenge nontheless.

Just read through this entire thread, and I must say that something needs to be done. Has any progress been made with the police?

While this guy seems to be utter scum, I hope that the law eventually does him in. The sweetest revenge is proper justice.

How many people in total are willing to go to their local police regarding this scammer? and what can be done by them?

Reading your posts, I came to the conclusion of personally rating eBay as the most unfair thing to happen to the electronic marketing ever. From my point of view, the feedback system is totally unbalanced as it tends to protect the (scammer) seller against the buyer. Since the feedback system has a positive, a neutral (that counts as negative) and a negative rating on both sides, fooled buyers are afraid to leave negative feedback since the seller could do the same right after the buyer. That leaves the seller with a positive feedback score, while he could actually steal buyers or send products that differ from the description.
It might seem unsolvable, but with a little bit of thinking, there are solutions. One solution I came up with is a difference between seller's and buyer's feedback points. The seller should only be able to leave an "order paid" positive feedback score or a negative "unpaid after x days". Getting paid through paypal with the correct amount of the invoice should automatically disable the ability of leaving negative feedback to the buyer. As for the buyer's side, the buyer should not be able to leave negative feedback before the approximate minimum and delivery time the seller would set in the auction. If the time exceeds the maximum delivery time, the buyer should have the ability to leave negative feedback to the seller, with his feedback score 100% untouched. Also, for those who do not prefer paypal, scanning a bank invoice and sending it to the eBay department should do the same job as a paypal's receipt (blocking the seller from leaving negative feedback).
In my honest opinion, I don't see any flaws in this system and I am definitely no marketing expert... so, how come a huge company like eBay is stuck with a stupid feedback system they use since 1997?

to be honest these things made me to abandon eBay feedback system altogether...
I don't leave the feedback - whether positive nor negative - any more nor do I expect any when I sell...

I don't find this to be a solution either... how would users be able to check each other's reliability?

I wasn't aware that he's a scammer. I don't know him, but I watched some of his recent auctions out of interest.

Six items bought in the last week and then nothing for almost exactly 4 years? Did he end up getting charged or anything for his scamming activities or did he just drop off the radar in the vain hope that everyone would forget about him?

This seller is selling a good amount of items.

Reading this thread, I wonder if any of them might be from members here that sent them to him.

Anyway, anyone did take any legal action?

Wherever there is opportunity there will be thieves. As quite a few items have bids it'll be interesting to keep an eye on his feedback over the coming weeks.
