One is European, one is for the US. The US one has a piece of paper signifying when the box was used, so I haven't tried to take a peak underneath to compare manufacturing dates. Just a little factoid really that I had noticed when I received the second one
Here is an oddity that you won't see very often. On the surface, this box looks like a standard, or as standard as there is anyway, DVT-3 prototype development kit. It has all the standard markings that you would expect from a prototype This sticker is a bit different than my other example, but I really didn't think that much of it. I just figured they were working on the naming conventions still, as the kit itself was still a development kit, right? (Crappy picture, sorry, edited out the barcode too) So I turned the sucker around to confirm that I had another DVT3 with the plastic removed for the USB/JVS port, and what do I find? Well, the plastic is removed. But so are the ports! So this truly is a debug kit prototype rather than a full on development kit. Interesting bit!
Hmmm, I thought for sure I was right. Must be my monitor.............can't be trusted................I think they're turning blue now. 0_0 EDIT: So, the other one is a prototype prototype? Quite interesting.
Id wager the differences in color was just them nailing things down to the final paint and all that. But it is fun to see that there are different types of DVT3s out there now
PN03 booting on my TDEV. Nice to know everything works as it should http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw6b1GxANU0&feature=c4-overview&list=UURmw2Pw9hrkZbY1TVAwq-_A
